he 2015 NFL Supplemental Draft just got more interesting. For the first time since the Cleveland Browns added wide receiver Josh Gordon in the second round of the 2012 Supplemental Draft, a pick could be used in the league's silent auction style event. According to Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, left tackle Isaiah Battle will enter this year's Supplemental Draft, and he is a prospect expected to draw interest from several teams.
The Miami Dolphins would be another team who could consider taking a look, especially as a depth option at left tackle as Branden Albert returns from his own knee injury.

Wouldn't touch him with no higher then a 4th round pick...but might be worth scooping up because depth in the trench's is always much needed

I agree that we need to get someone that could backup Albert in an emergency (Also read he is being looked at to start inside), but even 4th is a bit high...I would send a 6th round, and see what happens,

me personally would invest no more than a 5th. You can always recuperate a 5th rd by trading down next year.

i dont see where tackle makes sense for us at this stage

?? Interesting take. Personally I consider it our biggest weakness and by quite a wide margin. We have two starting OTs on the roster and one is hurt and does not look to be ready by week 1. Fox is a bad backup at best, we need to pick up an OT from some where, maybe not the supp draft but we have to find one.

Unless Hickey has some big dude hiding in the weeds (probably by the canal near Peters Road) I think WE DO NEED OT for the 3Ds: depth - development and deployment.

It REALLY SUCKS that we missed out on that kid that signed with Dallas.

I hope the staff considers Turner an emergency tackle. Unfortunately I have not seen any sign that they do.

emergency tackle WORST CASE should be billy turner...i just think miami has 4 tackle options this year already in house...and after those 4 are exhausted i think the next man up would be jamil douglas...

We could have drafted him with a 6th or 7th round pick. We needed only trade a 5th or 6th round from this coming year's ammo and we could have had a 1st rounder.

This is a big complaint I have with this regime.

I tend to agree with the philosophy of going after character players - but here is a moment where the Dolphins missed a chance to outsmart the rest of the league.

If he had murdered that ex-girlfriend - would the Dolphins been SO wrong to see a person as NOT guilty until proven otherwise!

And if he refused the Dolphins and did not sign a contract and re-entered the draft again next year - what would we have lost? a 5th or 6th rounder?

It was worth the risk - we BLEW it and - quite frankly I am upset because guarantee we had another 1st rounder for cheap if we had the guts!

Get over it.

well apparently "the rest of the league" felt the same way. he chose dallas, and we actually gave it a really good shot. but sure chalk that up as a problem with the regime.

a 3rd?! no thanks

Why not? Most people had him pegged as a 1st rounder in next year's draft. I'd like to see the Dolphins ship Wake and Grimes next year for a 1st each, then we can draft Bosa and feast on the talent available at DB in next year's draft. We'd eat 4.4 million in dead cap but save 15.1 million that would allow us to extend critical players.
