NFL: "League office is beginning investigations into a number of reported agreements with clubs. Violations will be dealt with accordingly.”

Miami about to get fined/lose a pick. Not the only team either, plenty of obvious tampering charges this year.

Look no further than the agents for your leaks. They're the ones trying to drive up the price on players.

This is nearly impossible to prove...team have been throwing out info and numbers for years...deals have been done within minutes of FA starting before the legal tampering period...Nothing will come of it except every NFL losing a 5th rounf pick because all the teams have "leaked" potential contracts...

It sure looks to me like the NFL is only concerned with proof when the Patriots are involved, otherwise they just blunder on in...

What the **** did the NFL expect would happen by opening a "legal tampering" period. Good luck handing out fines/penalties on this one, I wouldn't be surprised if teams sued the league over any potential violations based on the term "legal tampering" and the loose definitions placed around it.

Goodell is a ****ing buffoon anymore.

I think nothing will happen either it is just grandstanding by NFL because they were ignored.

Reality is these deals were discussed at Combine that's is whey the NFL should just start UFA right after combine.

Grandstand away. If you want to make a stand when all these leaked deals come to the office at 4pm on Tuesday reject them. But will never happen.

or do the other thing, and get rid of the legal tampering period. but the league wants its big news to start as soon as possible Tuesday, you cannot have it both ways nfl.

What are teams and players supposed to discuss other than numbers? Are they suppose to try on jerseys and see how they look in the teams colors or check out the cafeteria food? This is the NFL's fault.

Aren't there about 25 deals published already? Are you really going to punish everyone? The whole league has made a mockery of the league's calendar for the combine, the new league year, free agency, etc.

The league wants the combine in late February because that's a blatant dead zone in the sports calendar. If you push the combine back, then it would be competing with March Madness, spring training etc. The other alternative is to move the commencement of the new league year up to February 15 and allow deals right after the combine.

The rule is stupid, but teams who do not respect the stupid rule are even more stupid.

To many leaked deals for the league to do anything much about it. Unless they plan on stripping half the league a draft pick it won't be more than a strongly worded warning from the league.

But hey, even if they take away a 6th or 7th round pick, if it was the difference in getting Suh or not, it was worth it.

I also wonder if the Bills are being investigated for agreeing to a new deal with McCoy before the the trade became official. They might be in the most trouble because McCoy is technically still under contract with the Eagles until tomorrow. He boarded a flight and I believe took a physical with Buffalo yesterday. Tampering.

Really the only team that they should be looking at is the jets tampering with revis while he was still a patriot. All the other deal that are agreed upon are allowed due to the legal tampering period.

Also they might want to finish their "investigation" with deflategate instead of sweeping that under the rug

OOO Look I agree. I think just about the entire league would end up losing a pick here. Said as much on the Bills board with Shady as well. I just think it is Grandstanding. I never posted it here as a slap at the Suh unofficial Signing. I only posted it here because well this is the Only Board of another team I go too.

It us just so widespread that the league can't just pick and choose who to punish. If was one deal that came out, that team might be in trouble. But we have heard about like 10-15 signings already.
