NFL Total Access AFC Predictions

We lost 19-0 to the Bills. How are any of you expecting a win?

That was IN Buffalo with horrible weather on interrupted sleep. Not trying to make excuses, but those are facts. In all honesty, I think the Bills are a better team than the Jets. They have a more complete defense that has been a problem for the Dolphins for a while. Rex is a great D Coordinator, but the team just isnt as talented to exploit our weaknesses, especially at home. Do you all forget that we thumped the Jets to the tune of 27-3 in THEIR HOUSE just a few weeks ago? Why does the Bills loss mean more than our blowout win against the Jets when it comes to the Jets game?

* The Jets are just as or more motivated than the Bills. They are playing for Rex. They are want to avenge the ass kicking from a few weeks ago.
* The home crowd could turn on the Fins with poor play at the start of the game
* The Bills do have better match ups vs. Miami. However, Mo Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson (my pick if I were GM this year for the Fins) are brutal to deal with.
* The Jets have killed teams with the run the last three weeks...better run D's than Miami's. Miami has shown little improvement to stopping the run.
* Geno does not suck as bad as he did a few weeks ago.
* Rex pulls out all the stops to win in his last game.

I think the Fins are not mentally tough enough to step up in this spot.

I'm sorry, but there is NO WAY someone can say that a team that is playing for a PLAYOFF SPOT is LESS MOTIVATED than a team that is just trying to win one for the Gipper. Come on... You really think the Dolphins are comprised of such mentally weak individuals?

I agree with you that is the conventional wisdom...but we are talking this year's Fins team. I think it is the Jets and makes me SICK to my stomach to think that. However, I call **** as I see it. I am not sure if I have been more confident in this notion than I am now.

No way we come out as flat and uninspired this week against the Jets. Not saying that this team deserves the utmost confidence to believe they will bounce back. But I have a feeling they will. I just can't see the Jets beating us. The Jets have won one game on the road, their defensive front, while pretty good, is NOT the Bills front. I think we win this game and get into the playoffs. The biggest worry I have is that they are calling for a chance of rain. If that is the case, it may help the Jets out because Sherman refuses to stick the run even in a close game and the Jets run t better than us. Still, I think we come away with the win.

Not flat...TIGHT. Big difference.

We lost 19-0 to the Bills. How are any of you expecting a win?

...because the season is 16 games long and not just one game. We lost to the Bills twice and the Buccaneers, yet we beat top teams like the Colts, Bengals and Patriots. Last week was last week and just because we lost doesn't guarantee a loss this week. Just like a Week 15 victory against the Patriots didn't guarantee a win against the Bills.

The Dolphins overall have a poor offensive line and the Bills have one of the better defensive lines in the entire league. Thad Lewis didn't beat us in those two matchups, it was the dominance by the defensive line against our offensive line that did it. The Jets don't pose that same problem to the Dolphins, and that was already proven once this season when the Dolphins pounded the Jets just a few weeks ago up in New York.

I am not saying that Dolphins are guaranteed to win or anything like that, but simply disputing that thought that because we lost last week seems to conclude that we can't win this week. It is more likely than not that the Dolphins win this game, not the other way around.

Remember when they lost to the Buccs and we all thought they would just go on a huge losing streak? But what happened, they came out the next week and beat a good Charger team then went on a pretty good streak there, almost beating the Panthers in the process and taking down the Patriots at home. I think many of you are too down on the Bills loss to see that this team does have the ability to bounce back from disapppinting performances in big ways.

C'mon Hayden, give me a break. Look I don't know what is going to happen but that is arguably the worst panel of "analysts" you could post in a video. One of the guys say "The Jets have more to play for than the Dolphins" . . . really? I mean really? I mean Jets are playing for 8-8 and we are playing for a playoff spot . . . a legitimate shot at the playoffs. We smacked around the Jets in their house the previous game yet all 3 guys think one game against Buffalo where we played bad on the road in a division game means the same as the Jets pulling away from the Cleveland Browns at home in the 4th quarter. I mean all 3 guys literally sat there and did no kind of analyst work . . . like "ughhh I just have this feeling".

The chick on the set was the most knowledgeable of the 3 . . . and SportsCenter looks like a hell of a better watch, which is a sad statement for the NFLN.

I think everyone underestimating the Buffalo Bills! They are going to compete for this division next year. They have drafted solid classes the last few years and EJ Emanuel if he develops will be hard to deal with. Their draft this year already has a star in their 2nd round pick Kiko Alonso...not to mention Woods and some of the other speed they acquired in the draft. Then you look at our draft.....no impact!!The Bills were in every game this year. The Bills will compete for the playoffs next year.

I agree with you that the Fins should play better since they have more on the line. However, the team with "more on the line" has more to lose and can play tight. The Jets are playing for their coach and have nothing to lose...hence they are loose and free to play the game.

Again, it makes me sick to admit it, but I agree with the bozos on the set. I have felt that way all week.

Ugh, I just watched that. What a joke. Heath, if Rex's defense was so great why are they 21st in points allowed per game? Schmucks.

Haven't you felt this same way before each game the past 5 weeks or so? At least you were right one of the weeks though.

He has to be right once this week. Sleep on Mo Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson...good move.

I'm not sleeping. I'm just saying the NFL am cast is all on Rex's dong about defense but he hasn't produced this year with the pieces he wanted. I know, O isn't helping, but still 21st in the league is no defensive guru.

Make fun of me, but 11-5 is not a bad year for picks.
