I would never wish it on Miami, let alone any other team, but if Miami were to see more serious injuries on top of what they are already dealing with, then they could definitely give KC a run for their money on the Luck sweepstakes.
^ I'd have to agree. It's not far fetched to think Miami could land the 1st overall pick. In fact it's quite conceivable.
FACT - Henne has been getting hit more than any QB in the league. CK put up the numbers and Henne is being hit more , and more often on a per throw basis than any QB in the league. This is a terrible sign and look for Henne to get injured. Imagine this team with Moore as QB. Moore quarterbacked the last team that landed the 1st overall pick (the panthers), and he may QB the team that lands the 1st overall pick in 2012
- Bush will get hurt. He played great for one quarter and it was the 1st quarter of the season when he was all fired up, then he fell off in that game, looked winded and beat down in the 2nd half of that game against the Pats and hasn't been the same since. He's made out of glass and he'll get injured sooner rather than later as he has no clue how to take a hit and opens himself up too much.. and looks awkward doing it (he took 2 vicious hits last week because of his lack of vision and lack of awareness in traffic on the field)
- Yeremiah Bell is out of practice, just announced.
- Vontae Davis only played a half of football in the first 2 games and missed the last game entirely. There's no serious update on him and he could have one of those injury plagued seasons (and he's our best player in the secondary, and a rather poor secondary at that)
- Tony McDaniel has been hurt.
- Jake Long does not look the same and it seems like he has a lingering injury. It's possible he'll re-injure himself to the point of where he can't play at all. Just like last year when he played through an injury and he suffered for it as it got worse and worse playing on it.
- Vernon Carey left the game Sunday with a shoulder injury.
His buddy at RT Colombo left the game as well.. and this equals less cohesion on the O-line, and as bad as the oline has been, it could get worse with a bunch of new guys thrown in there -- and higher chances of Henne getting hurt really bad sooner rather than later (it would not surprise me if Henne gets knocked out in San Diego this week just like Pennington got knocked out in San Diego and out-for-the-season 2 years ago).
- Karlos Dansby played injured last week.. and we have no idea how bad his leg injury is. By the looks of it, with how slow and listless he played last week, it can't be good.
Speaking of which, two other players left the game last week with injuries... and the way some players are playing, it looks like a slew of guys are playing with injuries that could get worse (like Carey playing with a bad knee last year until it gave out after awhile and he was finally placed on injured reserve)
Chris Clemons has been out and he's been sorely missed as Reshad Jones stinks in coverage as he has poor awareness in space.
It's only week 3 fellas. The injuries are piling up. And it can get a lot worse every week as the practices and the games continue.
This is shades of the 1-15 season in 2007 when it seemed like 70% of the team was on injured reserve. This 2011 season will be yet another total disaster , in many ways. Unless it means we get lucky with Andrew Luck at the end.
