Not sure if it was just Millen and the other guy in the booth or what, but that broadcast was just really boring. The NFLN is miles behind MNF in terms of broadcast quality and generating excitement for a primetime game.

I really debated just listening to Cefalo/Rose/Maddog but I really wanted to see the game. Unfortunately, the radio broadcast always seems to be a play behind the TV broadcast or else I would have.

Agreed. Matt Millen is horrible at everything he does outside of playing football, and Bob Papa is the most boring play-by-play guy OF ALL TIME. Seriously bad. They had Chris Collinsworth, who I don't particularly like either, yet he's miles ahead of Matt Millen.

I 100% agree and I find it odd that the NFL would put on such an amateurish production. It comes across like a preseason game or the crews they send to do Cleveland/Detroit games. The whole channel reminds me of a local show or when they try to reproduce sporting events/shows in movies but don't want to pay anyone royalties, so they make something that looks kind of like ESPN but it's just a bit off.

In the pregame show Deon was gushing over Pat White. He said Pat White would have a big game. I don't know why they hired Deon, he's horrible and he doesn't even know it.

It was awful. So monotone and boring, not to mention flat out dumb.

And the thing I hate is when they have the highlights on NFL.com, and the entire highlight reel is with those idiots talking, not the advertised "radio calls" for each team and every other highlight.

Despite the fact they kept harping how much Ricky looked as good as he did as a Saint (when his early career as a Dolphin was better than anything he did as a Saint), I liked the fact that they actually talked about the game, rather then it being all about the "show" like they do with SNF & MNF.

I sent them a comment that they should do more research before the game. It really bugged me they wanted a second rate Ricky out there.

that was one of the worst broadcast for a national game in history.....there's like what 4 billion people in the world and we cant find 2 more to call a prime time nfl game

please

Incredible, in between all the posts about how horrible Henne is playing now the NFL broadcast team is getting dumped on.

Millen is an EXCELLENT NFL color guy and Popa is better then most of the network guys as well. They actually spent the whole broadcast talking about the plays, the players and the actual game that was being played, maybe this isn't what some people want to listen to? :rolleyes2:

Millen got his GM job based on how good he was on TV, because he had no GM experience.

Chris Collinsworth and MIchaels spend most of the 2nd half talking about anything BUT the game, besides Collinsworth is all about the drama. Gruden is excellent and I like MIke Tirirco but Jaws is a royal ear ache as well.

NFL.com still has the highlights with the local radio calls, just look for 'em :d-day:

I don't think I've actually been bored since the Arizona game last year. I get so into these games most of what they say goes in one ear and out the other. I don't have a clue about marketing or setting up a broadcast set but something about that set up to me gave it sort of an amatuer feel. Before the game when I was actually paying attention it was kind of like is this a pre season game?

Monday nights guys

I hate watching games on NBC though its all about the drama

Now my disagreement is with Matt Millen who is an IDIOT. He called the Iowa Ohio State game Saturday and now our fins game and all he talks about is the offensive and defensive line. Another thing is that after Detroit I cant take anything he says with seriousness he has no credibility on football knowledge and both him and Bob Papa sound monotone and I cant remember one thing they said last night.
