NFLN discuss Gase

I also enjoyed this line on nfl, com:

Hell, Gase has even won over Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell, a former rapper and South Florida legend who once complained to a couple friends in a local bar back in January that Gase would fail largely because of Tannehill. When a gentleman sitting nearby that night said Tannehill would get better -- and the Dolphins would, as well -- Campbell argued heatedly with the guy until he realized it was Gase having fun at his expense.

Can someone give a brief description for those of us at work who can't turn on the volume? :)

GASE IS AWESOME! (pretty much) but also mentioned how focused he is and fired up. If we miss the playoffs you wont hear Gase talk about "progress" and "next year"

mentioned that Denver only passed on Gase because they felt he wasn't quite ready yet but he clearly is now

There was no 2 Live Crew in the UK?

Possibly :idk: besides a bit of the mainstream Eminem stuff I am not really into rap + I was born in 91 so maybe he was before my time?

I'm not into rap at all, but living in south florida there was no avoiding uncle luke and the 2 Live Crew :)

How do you like this for a statistic. We are 5-1 at home, equaling our highest amount of wins at home in a decade. The last time we won 6 games or more at home was 2002.

What I don't understand about that article is the following statement:

The reality is that the Dolphins are legitimate enough when considering no team in the AFC is without its share of flaws. They've won six straight games after a 1-4 start and they would qualify for a wild-card spot if the postseason started today. So it really doesn't matter if they've defeated only two teams currently above .500 on the way to their 7-4 record. It's more important that they're beating the teams set in front of them, and doing that in clutch situations.

So the knock on Miami is they haven't beaten many good teams. Here are the teams ahead of them in the playoff standings:

Oakland - 4 wins vs. .500 or better
New England - 3 wins vs .500 or better
Baltimore - 2 wins vs .500 or better
Houston - 3 wins vs .500 or better
Kansas City - 3 wins vs .500 or better
Miami - 2 wins vs. 500 or better

Baltimore alone has played Cleveland twice and Jacksonville. That's a combined 2-31 record.

Good breakdown!

Also, can't go with how the team looks now, how was that team playing when Miami beat them...

1. The Steelers were on a winning streak, and looking like of the the best teams in the AFC.

2. The Bills were on a winning streak, and looked like a playoff team.

3. The Jets were on a small winning streak.

4. The Chargers had a 3-1 record at home and had scored 43 on Titans in prior game

5. Beat a Rams team with one of the best d-line, with injuries in their O-line, and starting a hugely motivated Rookie QB.

6. Played a Kaepernick lead team where in the last 3 games game he started, he had QB ratings of.. 102, 89, and 97.

The 49ers game should not have been that close, but Miami is still learning how to actually close games, but when they do, there will then be no doubt if Miami is for real or not.

I add one more to your position Tay0365.

The Chargers won 4 of their last 5 games leading up to the game against the Fins.
