I really think the issue is that Martin has never been in a locker room with so many dumb jocks before. I don't think they have a bunch of meatheads like Incognito at Stanford, and since Martin's parents are Harvard educated, I take it he went to prep school, where the lockerroom wasn't typical juvenile high school stuff.

But he is REALLY mentally weak if he can't figure out a way to deal with the unfamiliar dynamic of the NFL lockerroom. He just isn't cut out for this kind of work.He should just quit and go to grad school or something and find a line of work more suited for him.

This sort of thing or worse takes place in every NFL locker room. Martin himself is reported to have participated in
this sort of activity. The people investigating will be players that have participated in this sort of behavior.

maybe he is mentally ill and can't take the pressure needs help and may not be cut out to play in the NFL, you guys remember Manny Lawson I think that was his name, Saban berated him and made him cry.
I feel bad for him and ofcourse its the Fins if it was the Pats the talking heads would be saying Martin didn't fit the "patriots way"

If he is mentally ill, as I've said before, he gets a pass, to a degree. I don't understand how a child of
priveledge such as himself, with two Harvard educated parents, himself a Stanford graduate, could not
have recognized and diagnosed any mental disorder by this time.
 
Martin should under go sensitivity training by posing as a republican in the POFO section.
That should toughen him up to name calling..

Definitely possible. Stanford is in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is 100% gay friendly. So imagine if a gay athlete went from a fully tolerant environment, and walked into a team where he was constantly heckled as some "big f*g weirdo", and they didn't want to sit next to him because he "probably has AIDS". After a year and a half of that kind of taunting from his own teammates, plus the stress & physical damage from football, I could see him getting fed up, and storming out.

I dont give a crap about other teams. I only care about the dolphins n this isnt how u represent the dolphins.

I know the idea is out of left field. But, hazing and bullying to the extent to walk out on your team? I don't think any "Oh Martin, you can't block...big weirdo, pork chop" would do it.

Maybe this is the case that breaks the mold for gay athletes and the bullying that can occur if Martin decided to come out to teammates or teammates suspected it?

I just said the same thing in the other thread just going online. To me, there is a long term pattern here and OL is one of the largest groups on the team. He didnt just snap all of a sudden because of one deal in a cafeteria.

once again, this is 5th grade people. I have more concern with everyone else on our OL than I do Martin. Either way, this OL is getting blown up next draft.

Get ready to pick 4 OL.
 
I can understand the stress involved, but come on man. Martin is a grown man making millions for playing a childs game. Does it make me a bad person because I don't feel bad for him because he got bullied. For crying out loud the man is a 300llb offensive linemen. If he can't stand up for himself than he's a wuss and we don't need him.
 
This is some silly stuff. They ask these guys to be modern day Gladiators and they expect these men to function like every day ppl.

This PC crap seems to never stop.

Apparently in today's PC world words passed between grown men can break bones.
 
Some of these hypothetical situations are getting way out of hand. Lets all take a deep breath, be glad the nflpa will be doing their pansy ass investigation when we have 10 days between games, and doing it when we have the bucs next. If it's going to be a distraction now is the time.
