NHL blockbuster- Heatley to Sens

haha.. kind of suprised by this deal.. Heatley is one of the top if not top young forwards and him paired with the russian guy (forgot his name) is deadly... oh well
 
Hossa's just as good. Kind of a strange deal if you don't look at money. I doubt Redden would go to Atlanta...Ottawa needs more in return for just Heatley if they gave up Redden and Hossa.

EDIT: Greg De Vries will also head south.

You know....if a player is less than 30 years old and productive.....you try to keep those guys....too much talent has left here.

The Panthers FO is incompetent.

Watch...they will screw up the Luongo deal.....just watch.
 
The trade makes a lot of sense; I think Heatley probably needed a fresh start. I mean, killing your own teammate because of your stupidity, that tends to haunt you.
 
Hossa is a better pure-goal scorer, but Heatley is a more complete player.

Heatley also asked for a trade.

The Sens robbed the Thrashers...Hossa and DeVries for Heatley? Heatley's salary is still cheap and hes still young. I'll take that trade any day of the week.

Apparently he asked to be traded so he could get a fresh start somewhere else. I think you're right. It sure would be difficult to get up every day knowing your stupidity killed one of your best friends.
