Nic Harris S/LB

i'll say this about him...i watched 3 Oklahoma games this past season, and Harris was definitely a playmaker from his Safety position...i watched the National Championship Game obviously,i also watched the Sooners play both Texas and Texas Tech, and he made some nice plays in all 3 of those games...ie...INT's,Passes Defensed,Very Nice Tackles...so yeah, with his size,i DAMN sure wouldn't mind us drafting him...

he'll be a SS or a 4-3 OLB... there's no way he can play LB for us but i'd see him in Bell's spot anytime... the question is, do you think this staff would rather get rid of bell, draft a rookie SS and resign hill, or resign Bell and draft a rookie FS ?

seems like an obvious choice to me... if they can re sign hill to a cheap contract, it would be pretty nice as he could mentor the rookie... if the dolphins were to offer him a contract i can't believe he'd say no, he'll have problems finding a starting job elsewhere so what's the purpose of being a backup in a new scheme if you can compete for a starting spot in a scheme you've played in the whole year down in miami?

the other option we have at FS is give tyrone Culver a year to prove himself and let him compete with hill... culver has shown flashes this year and he was burried deep in a very talented safety depth chart in green bay...

for my part i believe we'll draft a FS but it's just my opinion heh...

I'm sure he'd make a good 4-3/Cover 2 OLB, but I think he would make an amazing safety. He has a nose for the football, he's shown a lot of football smarts, so I'd trust him to call coverages down the road...but if he runs anything slower than a 4.55, I don't think he could be a FS, and unless we don't re-sign Bell, we don't really need a SS for now.

He will NEVER be a FS . . . he definitely is a SS or a 4-3 OLB. If we draft him, it is because we franchise Bell and replace him with Harris the following year.

I would use him as a strong safety...I would take him on the Dolphins in a second. I say he goes in 2nd or 3rd...
