Nice article about the Wild Offense overshadowing the Fins win

Thank you, I have been waiting for some recognition. Yes the wildcat plays were fun and successful but that is NOT what won us this game. We dominated on defense and our offense did a great job of passing and running. We simply were the better team.

so true, ive been saying the same thing... regardless of the playcall/formation, the key is execution, and we executed in most facets of the game Sunday (special teams is another story :oldman: ), thats why we won...

even if we did win because of the wildfin formation then good. That means we lined up put a hat on a hat and controlled the line of scrimage. Theres only one thing you cant cover or scheme around in football. Thats getting whipped across the oline. Running the ball sucessfully means we controlled the point of attack.Watch the film most of ronnies tds he goes in untouched. He didnt make a guy miss and use the spin move. He found the hole and exploeded through. THus further proving we phsyically beat the pat at the los.If we continue to dominate the los like that we will win more than we lose.

Good find. Thanks.
Miami drove to New England's 2-yard line before the first Wildcat play was called on second down for the opening score. Miami didn't use the Wildcat at all on the 79-yard drive that gave it a 14-3 lead early in the second quarter.

Non-Wildcat plays accounted for more than half of Miami's yardage on a 77-yard drive that produced a 21-6 lead before halftime.

The Dolphins also drove to the Patriots' 19-yard line without a Wildcat play before Brown sprung his TD pass to Anthony Fasano. Dan Carpenter's late field goal was set up by a seven-play series sans Wildcat.

So keep that in mind when you think of the Dolphins. As compelling as the highlights were from Sunday's game, they weren't only the more resourceful team. They were the better team.

To me.. the Patriots giving us props for out playing and out coaching them were all the props I needed. The article is only icing on the cake.

At least when the Pats lose they make no excuses.

I hate to actually give Belichick props for anything, but I did like that about him in the post game press conference. I thought he might say "we played bad, we didn't do well, we didn't this that blah blah blah," but he gave us credit and said simply that we played good and they didn't. Those two combined adds up to a blowout for us.

Small sidetrack, but I was thinking about this.

Every program has their own moniker for the "single wing" or "Wildcat" formation.

Arkansas changed the name to Wildhog to fit their mascot.

I read that Ole' Miss uses one they call "Wild Rebel"

I really like the term "Wildfin." maybe we should start calling it that?
