I would love to have Roy Williams, but is he considered injury prone at this point in his early career?

Bring Roy Williams to Miami....he is a force to be reckoned with. Dont let the Lions fool ya, they are known for poising the player and not the other way around.

You put a monster like Roy Williams in a good team and watch out.

Thats a good read, thanks.

I would possibly give up a 2nd pick for Roy Williams. I think he may be a better proposition than a rookie WR, regardless of who that rookie is.

WR's generally don't start to blossom till their 3rd year. I think he will fit nicely here.

By trading a second for him, we still keep our 1st round pick for defence - LB or DB.

I'd give up one of the TWO second rounders the Phins have for him, maybe even a fifth rounder on top of that.

It depends on what kind of contract Roy wants, as he has been injury prone, so I'd tie some of the money to playing time, number of catches, etc.

Still, for a big physical WR, with NFL experience? Not a bad price versus risking a draft pick and waiting 1-2 years for a guy to develop.

Imagine how much better the Dolphin offense would be with Roy on the field? It would help Ginn, it would help the run game and we could wave goodbye to Hagan.

Actually Evans and Williams have identical numers, only Evans has played 10 more games. I think Williams has been in a situation where he's had to compete more for the ball then Evans as it seems the Lions are always using their #1 picks on WR's. I think Evans is over paid and I think If Williams gets the same or more money he'll also be over paid. Till he proves he can have a 1000 plus season every year he's nothing more then a #2 WO lined up in the #1 position.

Are you serious TWO second rounders would make PARCELL looks like Millen. No reciever will go for two second rounders. a third and a 5th or a second n 6.

Detroit will play hardball, but, they have no leverage. Pay Calvin Johonson, or Roy Williams. Can't pay them both. The team that gets him this year will overpay.....That is without question. It's a question of how aggressive we are for that particular player.

I like the idea or Roy Williams but I dont like the idea of giving up a 2nd rounder. We are now in the business of acquiring draft picks not giving them away. I think a 2nd would be just a little to steep. I would part with a third but we need more top 100 picks for several more years to get this ball rolling.

He said one of the two but emphasized that we had two second rounders.

i agree with you on not giving up anything higher than a 3rd,now Detroit may ask for a 2nd and something else for him,but i wouldn't offer anything higher than a 3rd...the Pats gave a 4th for Randy Moss, and look at what he did for them last year, granted he won't have Brady throwing him the ball this year, but he'll still get his yards and TDs...Roy's a damn good receiver, and would help our WR corps tremendously, but IMO,nothing over a 3rd should be given for him....

couldnt they try and work out a trade for Boldin while he is injured ? surely we could get him for a bargin but i wouldnt give more then a 2nd and a 4th pick for him.
