Nice Contest.

so were we. I'd rather you guys have beat us because out-played us. but you didn't.

we beat ourselves this time. penalties and turnovers.

if both teams would have had ZERO turnovers and you beat us, i'd be happier. its a worse loss when you lose because of yourselves. your QB had 170 yards passing and your RB didn't hit 100 rushing. I think its safe to say you didn't exactly "beat" us, per se....

good clean game though, look forward to the second contest.
 
Buffalo beat you, period. "If we didnt have the turnovers..." c'mon. thats like us saying "if you didnt put anyone on moulds, he wouldve had 300 yards receiving." B-lo came out fired up and put up 17 unanswered. mcgahee had a mediocre game, the d wasnt stout at all, and they STILL squished the fish.

I don't care how it happened, I like the "W"!

I was pacing in front of the TV almost the whole 2nd half. Fun game, can't wait to see what happens when the Bills head to fla.
 
I agree. Buffalo came to play today. For three and a half quarters they beat the poo out of us. It was ugle. Then in the last 1/2 quarter we beat the poo out of ourselves.
 
Aren't you guys a little concerned this Holcombe project is only going to delay the growing pains Losman will eventually have to go through?

Malarkey (sp?) smiling on the sideline pi*sed me off so much, he looked like a kid who just got away with something, like he couldnt believe what was happening.

What kind of coach smiles in the first half of a game?

I totally agree with you. Two division losses has to be killing the whole team. Now maybe it's time for them to play with fire the whole game, not just a half and play to their fullest potential. This week against the Bucs will show if the season is a make or break.

it's actually the penalties that hurt us more than the turnovers, Miami gave buffalo so many 1st downs on penalties that it was rediculous and most of them were offsides, Miami had the bills stopped many times that would've have been 3 and outs, but new life over and over

I am.

It's amazing, when Willis McGahee gets 30+ carries for the first time we win. It doesn't really matter how many yards he got, the attempts were key. I wish they would have tried that once with JP starting.
 
i am failing to understand all the Holcomb-worshipping in buffalo land... and even the media. Holcomb was efficient, but is not the answer and was not your savior. He only had 169 yards passing. Fiedler had more yards day in and day out for us.

I think if you would have played a disciplined team today you would have lost. Had you scored at all in the second half it might add credibility to your team. however, you eeked out a win against a team that committed a record-amount of penalties and turnovers. 5 turnovers handed to you and over a football-field-length of penalties, (which gave you 6 first downs, BTW), and you only managed to win by 4 points.

I'd be cautiously optimistic if i was a bills fan. If miami cleans up its act (see: exhibits discipline), the bills will be in trouble for the next game.

You won, and i'm not challenging the W.... just saying that it wasn't as positive of a sign of your team as some of the buffalo fans are making it out to be. And as my fellow fin fans have said, i would be alarmed that your coach is going for the wins now over planning for your future later by benching Losman.

you are out of your mind, that game was an embarasment to everyone on the field. to almost lose to a team that comitted 18 penolties and 5 turnovers, the bills are probably one of the worst teams in the nfl. if you barely beat a mediocre team on their worst day, how in gods name do you expect to be anyone else all year?

i have never been more embarassed of being a dolphins fan than i was in the first half of todays game, and if i were you, i would be pretty upset about the way the bills played in the second half.

Wake up call? From what? We've had nothing but stupid penalties and mistakes all season so far. These same stupid things almost cost us the carolina game also.
 
thanks WC, we stunk the joint up and you are being generous with your props. As Igor put it, "embarassing, sloppy football" and it was, all around.
