CK-you are amazing-great job once again.ckparrothead said:Vick makes it through waivers, yes. I think people forget, about 4 months ago he was an undrafted free agent that just about NO team wanted part of, Miami picked him up and there were rumors Saban did it as a favor to Frank Beamer.
Since then, what has Vick done to change that? He caught 2 balls for 12 yards against the Jaguars. He's returned a few punts for a 5.8 yard return average, I believe returned a kick or two for a low kick return average....and generally looked awkward as a return man. He's taken no snaps at quarterback.
Why all the sudden does everyone think he's gone from being the guy nobody wanted, to a hot commodity?

Tight Ends: It is obvious that Mike Mularkey will not forget about the tight end in this offense. He makes extensive use of the tight end in the short areas in order to convert third downs. Randy McMichael has been used in such a role this preseason and looks as good as ever catching passes. The only new wrinkle appears to be a newfound effort to get Randy the ball in space so that he can use his significant run-after-the-catch abilities to gain first downs. Randy is a highly athletic tight end that has a history of dodging and leaping defenders.
