nice stop up and down report. Mentions what all of us that KNOW somethign abotu football and aren't homers have been mentioning about CRowder, taking his usual BAD angles. I also mentioned how hwen he blitzes it is useless b/c hes always late on the QB which leads the QB to scramble with ease. He mentioned this as well. I think dansby will be a huge target for this oragnization if the Cards let him walk.

Crowder finished the game tied for the team-lead with seven tackles, but he took a couple of bad angles on tackles, and like usual, his blitzes were a second too late.

Also, anyone know if HOlliday is at RE on passing downs or is it merling? b/c merling was doing a good job vs the rams i saw him on 3-4 plays as i did langford but I htink merling should drop 5-10 lbs for next year so he can regain some of his speed back to rush teh QB as well instead of being 1 dimensional which is trying to stuff the run.

I hope Ginn finds what he is looking for helping out the kids with his father and gives up football. He makes this team much worse when he is on the field. He has 0 of the qualities that Parcells and company are looking for in a football player. He will not be a dolphin after next year and I can't wait to see him gone.

There is so much wrong with this statement. I'll just leave it at that.

A couple of quick things:

The article mentions that Crowder's blitzes are a split second too late, which is true, but you added the bit about the quarterback scrambling with ease.

The reality is that even though Crowder's blitzes are usually a split second late, many of those plays result in incompletions caused by quarterback pressure, which are positive plays.

Also, I wouldn't put too much stock in Omar Kelly's analysis, especially when he throws out subjective commentary on Crowder, somehow glossing over the fact that he led the team in tackles (which, again, is a positive).

There's homers and then there are anti-homers.

Then there are folks that truly fall in the "objective" category and don't any specific agenda on any player (either positive or negative).

sure he led the team in tackles but doesnt mean much considering he has so many more responsiblities then just tackling esp for a man that will want at least 5 mill a year. and yes the QB usually scrambles but they aren't "incomplete" most of the time. most of the time he gets a sideline pass in for a 1st down b/c of this.

and you really really need to get past this agenda stuff. Its like stuck to you like gum stuck to a mans shoes. Annoyingly keeps stretching back and forth when you try to remove it.

here is an example for you....Hill is a decent S that can fill in...he has his share of tackles well over 50 i believe and his 1-2 INT that weren't HIM making a play but rather it coming to him due to the pass. Errand passes that seemed to sail or not pick up velocity as intended like the Rams game. THen you have Otogwe who has i believe 5 FF, 4 INT and 63 tackles. COnsidering he had 8 INTS the previous year. You have a gamer and a solid player. CRowder is a SOLID player. Just b/c he should make tackles doenst mean his job stops there. a WR job is to CATCH the ball but the good ones get YAC or go up and GRAB the ball while the solid ones just get the catch adn go down cuz their abilities just cna't go any further. Ala Crowder.

I'll maintain that you have a bit of an agenda, but you're definitely capable of being objective as well, so no biggie.

As for the Hill vs. Otogwe comparison, I can't go for it simply because Hill isn't really good at any one thing. He is a subpar tacklers with supbar hands and subpar coverage ability. He's also 30-years old, which means that he's more than likely hit his peak. There's no dobut that Otogwe is a much better player, and I'm hoping that he fits into Parcells'/Sparano's plan this offseason.

Crowder is good at certain facets of the game (making big hits...consistently tackling) and at 24, he has plenty of time to develop into an elite player.

I'm not saying that Crowder is a Pro Bowler or even an above average player. I just think that if the dollar amount is right, he should stay. That said, he's probably looking for a huge payday and I don't think he'll get it here in Miami.

you just had to throw that in there to try and irritate me or something but "no biggie" lmaoo sorry but thats pointless and lame.

Crowder is consistently tackling? Is your definition of taking bad angles consistently tackling? Or being late consistently good? or consistently out of place or not capable of sniffing out the simple screens good? Ill take him for 3 million MAYBE 4 but ntn more. When lehan got resigned hte first thing i said is he is NOT a good CB. He is decent and a number 4-5 option not a damn number 2/3 that we paid him to be. He coudlnt stop Daniels last year that cost us the game.

If you followed anything at all from college to football you would see that CRowders issue with over pursueing dates back to his College years in Florida. Its been what? 5-6 yrs? and he STILL can't change that. WHen will it happen? COnsidering he was "tutored under Zach and Seau" as most of you love to see players tutored you woudl think he woudl LEARN something from the great LBs.

hahahaha

The wonders of being young.

I compliment you on being objective and you somehow take it as a slight.

Then you go on to praise yourself for predicting something about Lehan, a guy that went on IR early in the season and could have easily turned around his production in a similar fashion to the guy he replaced (Goodman).

Then you go and throw another one of your wonderful personal attacks about my knowledge of college football, which I can guarantee exceeds yours, especially back in those days, when you were probably still in grade school. You know little to nothing about my level of college analysis or experience, but choose to go the disrespectful route instead of using some measure of tact.

Ironically, it's Crowder's college production (All-SEC and All-American as a sophomore, 73 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 3 fumbles recovered, and 1 INT) in a very competitive conference filled with NFL talent, which suggests that he still has his best years ahead of him.

But hey, keep encouraging ill will by responding to compliments with negativity and personal attacks. That'll get you far in life!

uh i didnt insult you on college football lmao. I said if you followed anything at all. no wehre did i say you didnt or did nor did i say it in a rude fashion, once again think before you get sensitive, it is TEXT writtin on a FORUM so its very EASY to be mislead on "emotions" when its text. So dont be so insecure about yourself dude. sheesh man your 32 and your so damn insecure or defensive and quick to attack people and yet you mock me "assuming" im a youngin. lol for all you know im 33. A year older then you. how stupid woudl you look then if that was the case? relax and stop insulting ppl bro, no ones outs to make you look bad or anything. Its a conversatoin we are having. Look how quickly you got upset and offended.

The way i took your compliment was "hey ive been down this road with you you have an agenda out but its ok" b/c thats all you did for a month ranting about that when it was false. ANYWAYS i dont care about that thats pointless crap to waste time arguing on so lets move on please. thanks.

Like i said, Crowder had numbers but his issue throughout COLLEGE was he OVER PURSUES. Yet again you go to stats only. Just do me a favor whenver you talk or debate with me DONT USE STATS ALL THE TIME, thats ALL YOU DO. You base EVERYTHING off stats. STATS DO NOT TELL THE WHOLE STORY BRO. Hill can have 2 INTs and on paper it says 2 INTS and 8 tackles but ****, he gave up 3 TDs b/c of blown coverage but would it say that on paper? Nope. It wouldn't. Just giving you a heads up bro thats all.

If somehow Karlos Dansby gets out of Arizona without getting franchised, by all means, bring him in. He's an upgrade to Crowder. If he can't get out, there's not many young ILB out there that are better than Crowder in our scheme.

I can clearly sum up Channing Crowder.
He doesnt have "it"...Instincts and Toughness
John Offerdahl had IT
Zack Thomas had IT
We need to draft a real ILB and see if Crowder can fit in somewhere
as an OLB or as a backup/special teams player.
Im am positively sure that Parcells will make changes.
