The Packers released him today. Collins is a good pick up. Ii saw him play when he was at Bethune Cookman University

Mike Nolan already making a difference for the Falcons as I'm sure he played a part in pushing to get Asante Samuel.

That was a long time ago...he's damaged goods.

^^^^ This. He had a neck injury that required surgery, and from what I read the Packers were too medically concerned to allow him back on the field, thus the release.

Wow, is it really possible that every player that gets released will be posted here asking that we should pick him up?

Nick Collins was released cause he failed his physical. His neck is screwed up and he probably shouldn't play football anymore.

It does get annoying, but 1 surgery trumps 4.

But the guy that had 4 passed his physical and the guy that had 1 didn't. So apparently the guy that got 1 needs a few more.

Packers never said he technically failed a physical, they just didn't feel comfortable at this time.

Give a few more months, he may be aok, also remeber Collins' surgery is way more recent than Mannings' 4th 1. Time will tell

If Collins is healthy, or even looks like he will be healthy this fall, sign him. He would instantly be our best safety.

finheaven - where every player on every other team should be "looked at" and "possible pick ups" , UNTIL they are actually looked at, or picked up, in which case this "FO is so dumb" and that guy is "camp fodder" "mediocre at best" and where every player currently on our team is "a bunch of scrubs who go 6-10" "should be great to trade or to save cap space by cutting"

ahhhh finheaven. my heaven my heaven.
