guys i want to ask a question....don't get me wrong nick is one of the best coaches in the nfl in only his second year as a head coach!! but i really hope that our 1st round picks reporting to camp does not become a problem every year. I understand that we want to get the best deal that want kill our cap but come on lets get these guys in here on time! I am asking you guys do you think this might be a problem every year and might make us a team that some players might not want to come to via free agency or the draft?

just asking.....now with that said....JASON GET YOUR BUTT IN CAMP AND BECOME THE FORCE IN OUR SECONDARY THAT WE NEED TO TAKE THE DIVISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the Dolphins management is being too stubborn on this. Just sign him to a 5 year deal and be done with it.

I dont think it will affect FA signings though. I have also thought about future draft picks. Will they be excited when they get the call but i dont think it would be an issue with future draftee's. Winning teams get more tolerance for those kind of things.

i think its a decision of the Miamio FO, not nessecarily Nick. He mentioned it was up to the GM and assistants to get this deal done. It may hurt but Allen will get signed. He just spent a million on a house, he'll need the money very soon.

Nick Leaves the negotiating to the FO and lets them do their Job.

I had a different opinion about this yesterday and i did some thinking and if he's not here yet why worry about it? Saban said it best when he said "We want to coach the guys that are here". I don't think we will miss a beat with him not being here right away. As much as a want him to be here it's not the end of the world if he isn't. Someone will take his place and life will move on.

I don't think getting our 1st pick signed and Nick's ability to coach are related issues? The GM is responsible for locking guys up.

All decisions are Nick related. Nick has shown that he is a big picture guy; and big picture means that if you can keepa gut from free agency for another year or pro-rate a bonus over another year it makes the team healthier in the long term...

the guy needs to be here because capers and nick will ask him to do things in the secondary that will require him to lineup all over the place and he has to learn what the heck he is suppose to be doing!!!!!

Exactly, Saban isn't the one who actually negotiates contracts.
