Nick, it's time to Pick a QB!

First let me say Ricky is RICKY. No more questions about if he is the same player or not, he is. Ronnie has that look to him. That look that says he can BUST one for 80 yards on a dime. I was happy with the O line play also.

Getting to the topic. Nick needs to pick a QB and do it fast. Name Gus the opening day starter and be done with it. He had some dropped passes and over threw a few WR'S, but its so nice to see a guy go downfield again. I think he is throwing the ball too hard to show what he can do.

IM sure Gus isn't going to be our FUTURE here in Miami, but he gives us the best chance to win and have a respectable season. I like his poise in the pocket and he will step up and burn you deep if you cheat on the line.

IM not sure if we can rate Gus the traditional way with this offense. What I mean by that is his PCT of passes he completes. 9 for 25 is a little too low, but if he can improve to 13 of 25? I would be thrilled! Remember, we are going to have a balance on offense and one thing that PCT doesn't tell you is how many big plays he makes.

If he can make 3 or 4 BIG PLAYS a game and keep defenses honest? We can be a very good offense. Add that with some of the Dinks and Dunks out of the backfield? That would work.

Gus at least seems to be getting respect from Defenses that he will go downfield and when he does, he will be accurate. AJ'S comp PCT is good, but look how many of his passes were safe and high pct ones.

I hope he just goes on and names a Starter this week and be done with it. Sure AJ has played well and who knows, maybe their is hope for him in the future, but not this season.

GO FINS!

I'm at the point where I don't care who he names, I just want him to do it! Either way, we are stuck with a backup QB starting!

That is %100 where I stand as well!!! Whichever guy he picks it will benifit them GREATLY if he just picks them NOW!!!

Ok I can somewhat agree with that. However, it doesn't mean that Gus can't get it done with the talent around him. They were talking about the talent around Kyle Boyler and that he should be able to be productive, even if he has an AVG year, couldn't we say the same about Gus?

Welker is a nice surprise and Boston is playing well. That Lorenzo Diamond was a nice find and looks good when we run the 2 TE set with Mcmichaels on the other side.

I feel pretty good that this team will improve every week. We do have some nice talent on the O and I DON'T want to leave out Sammy Morris, who I DON'T WANT TO TRADE!

Both QB are victims of receivers who just arent holding onto the ball. I saw still to many drops in the Bucs game.
He need to settle this... damn this cherade!

I vote for confidence in nick in that he will do what is best for the miami dolphins. After all we're just here for the ride. He's obvisouly doing this for a reason.

I feel the same way. I don't even care who it is- they both royally suck. Whether it's Frerotte or Feeley, it's just a one-year stop-gap anyway. So just pick one, Nick.

I really don't have to much faith in any of them. I had high hopes for Gus, but he looks bad. I have no faith in AJ, and I'm sick of the he just needs time crap!

If that's the case, just start Sage, and I'll use the AJ excuse, he just needs time.

Chambers had some drops in the Bucs game that he doesnt usually have, one would have been for a TD. I think that Gus is going to be named the starter. The way I see it I would much rather have my QB overthrow the reciever by 10 yards than underthrow them by 10 yards, (not saying AJ would underthrow the reciever). That also is more of a timing thing with the WR that will be developed as the season progresses.

If our O plays like they did the opening drive, this will be a good year for us. Scott made perfect play calls, the O-Line looked good, and the passing was good. It will be an exciting season if that becomes a regular thing.

who's to say the starter isn't already picked and only the staff and players know who it is. maybe saban just wants everyone else around the nfl to remain in the dark till the season starts... i mean he did do something like that at the draft, no?....

I agree with the AJ Excuse, but I think Gus can be a decent QB in this league after he gets more familiar with the team. Remember, we gave AJ plenty of time to develope and he never did. Sure Gus has an understanding of the O, but lets give him a little bit more time he does show one thing, and that is the ability to throw the ball downfield. And this past SATURDAY was the best the O line had played.

I think we can get a DECENT season from Gus.

i think it's going to come down to The Lucky Charm Marshmallow Lot System, myself.

Exactly! I'm not sure abou the other players knowing, but I'm sure Saban and Linehan know who is going to start. They don't owe us or anyone else that knowledge at this point. Well, maybe the players should know.

so going 6-10 this season with gus as the starter would do what?

absolutely nothing

we would still have the qb problem?

plenty of time to develop.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.

no oline. no offensive coordinator. no head coach. no running back. shuffling of qbs. also aj didn't practice with 1st team in offseason.

you aj haters/gus lovers need to realize any qb last year wouldn't have done crap for us.
how can you develop if you dont have those?
