As you all know, Nick Saban drafted only two players on offense - Ronnie Brown and Anthony Alabi. Some people criticized him for not drafting QB after having mutliple chances of throughout the rounds. Why didn't he?

Answer: I believe he anticipated a stronger QB class than last year's. Instead of drafting a QB last year and be tempted to draft another this year (*cough*New*cough*Orleans*cough*), he decided to be patient. Or, to quote the Nicktator himself:

"Make haste slowly."

Adrian McPherson is a project anyway, I dont think it would be a big problem if New Orleans drafted a QB this draft. Now, SF might have made a bad move in taking Alex Smith instead of waiting for Leinart.

This years qb draft class isnt as strong as last year's. And Its not as long as the 07 draft will be.

I think if Quinn (he won't) and Young (He might) both declare, then this years class is better than last years. With Leinart, Cutler, Young, Quinn, Pinegar, and Jacobs.

Last year's class was nothing special at all. This year is better just because of Leinart and I'll take Cutler over Alex Smith almost every day for this draft's late-rising QB prospect.

Leinhart is decent but the depth in last years class was a lot better.

Why because Orton's won that many games? It's very common to overrate a previous draft's players. I remember somebody calling 04's RB draft stronger at the top than 05's last year. I laughed in his face and I've been proven right...

No its because Smith, Rodgers, Campbell, Orlovsky, Orton, Fitzpatrick, Frye, Walter collectively will be better than Leinhart, Young, Jacobs, Croyle, Olsen and Cutler will ever collectively be.

And your reference to the 04 rb draft is irrelevant cause i didnt say it. i can pick up a lot of stuff other people spew on here to make myself appear smarter.

mcNeal is so good a lot of scouts want him to work out @ wr. Hackney is decent and was forgotten in my haste. betts just sucks.

I strongly disagree because it is common sense that this years running backs in the draft are hell of a lot stronger then last years. Why didnt Saban wait if what you are saying is true. Bush and Williams will be the first picks and sould set records in the NFL.

I'm not sure how it's common sense. Benson is injured but Williams and Brown have had supersonic seasons. Reggie Bush is a spectacular player, but you're saying he and then DeAngelo Williams are going to go 1 & 2 respectively? Uh......que?

Bush maybe but Williams isn't necessarily any better, and I'm a huge Williams fan.
