When Nick Didn't go for a two point conversion on either of the 12-7 or 19-7 TD's was a great call.... You see Coach's go for the 2-point conversion so they can go up by a TD all the time instead of 6 or 13 like Nick did. Now if Nick would have and we didn't convert the Chargers would have had a chance to tie it at the end.... All I'm saying is that I'm happy with our coach and hope he stays with us for a long time!!!:)

Uhh... It was 23-21... Going for 2 at one point would not have hurt us... Nice try though.

nice try to you also

if we go for it and fail

its 22-21

and at the end SD goes for 2 to tie it rather than the one to put them behind by 1

well it's stupid to do that early in the game. two pt conversions shouldn't be used until the last few minutes, becuase a team can get themselves in a hole doing that. don't convert and now you're five up instead of six, so you score another Td and try to get back what you lost, don't convert, so now instead of having a 13 point lead the team now would have an 11 point lead. a field goal and two point to tie, instead of having to score two Tds. A coach is pretty dumb if he does that early in a game.

Yeah, and what blew the game for SD was when they passed up 2 chances at FG's. Im glad they did though. :D

Hey nice try dude. Use your math skills. minus 1 from us because of a failed 2 point conversion and add one point if they could pull it off.

I'm not saying it would have happened but some coachs go for two instead of kicking the extra point.

Yeah they were dising our team in my eyes on those fourth down tries early in the game. I think that they thought that they where going to blow us out... I guess not!

is really amazing how many games are decided by field goals made and missed and fields goals that are NOT try at some point. To go for it or to not go for it...is really amazing.

Ozzy rules!!

Martyball always plays not to lose....that is why John Elway owned Marty in Cleveland year after year.

I also wondered why they did not kick field goals instead of going for it on 4th down twice, but it would have been difficult for the kicker on both attempts.

I think the pass play to Chambers on his 2nd TD was the best call of the day....Gus waited for Chambers to get open and then threw a beautiful pass....I think that let the air out of San Diego's sails.

A great call by Saban was to throw the Red flag on the non-first down where the Charger wide out got the first but went backwards on his own losing the first and Saban won the challenge.

Also Saban not going for the first down on the first fieldgoal which in the end could of cost us the game if we didnt get that first 3..

Very true I didn't even think about that. When I strated this Thread was to say how good of a coach we have. I just can't wait till next week now.... And how sweet would it be to finish out the season with 6 straight wins, even if we don't make the playoffs!

They were not dissing us you fools. The ball was at like the 35 both times and they were short 4th downs...4 and 5 yards I think. I absolutely hate teams that PUNT in those situations when you have the ball inside the 40. It's such a wussy call and it shows you have no faith in your team. Either let the kicker try from 52 or try to convert. Wannstedt was great at punting from the 35 instead of either showing confidence in Mare from 52 yards which he can obviously make, or at least trying to give your offense a chance to convert. If you punt and its a touchback you gain a whopping 15 friggin yards. Fraidy cat punts are horrible coaching decisions and Schottenheimer was not trying to diss us with those calls.

I agree with that challenge, the WR clearly came back on his own.
