Nicks...awesome WR video

Yeah, I've rated Nicks very highly. He's a natural plucker with good hands and concentration. He has very good playing speed despite whatever 40 time he may post. He is quite quick laterally, especially for his size, so separation should be good. He's big and physical. Is it just me, or does he seem bigger than 6'1 to anyone else? To be honest, talent-wise he reminds me a bit of T.O. in that he has it all.

He's not the fastest guy on the field, but he's faster than most and he really has everything you'd want from a receiver physically. He's not 6'6 like Ramses Barden or superfast like Tedd Ginn, but I will be surprised if he's not a pro bowl receiver who develops into an excellent threat. I suspect he'll go in the 1st round, and would be projected somewhere around our pick. If we were going for a receiver at 25--highly unlikely--I'd think he'd be our guy.

That said, I doubt he's there when we pick in the 2nd round, so I don't expect to see him as a Dolphin ... but he's an excellent prospect.

I felt the exact same about him and how he reminded me of TO but the only thing that doenst is the speed. I think besides the speed diff they are almost a clone of one another. hes a serious gamer and I'd love to have him.

man it takes at least two guys to tackle him

and that explosion he makes after he catches the ball is sick...

EXELLENT POST digital.

my thoughts exactly. i believe that tony sparano and
expecially our offensive staff would LOVE to have
nicks [or any other big time wr].

now, parcells has given sparano a big leash and SAYS he
is not making the final decisions on personel. so HOPEFULLY
if nicks is there, the finz will do the right thing and grab this
TALENT and get out of the cloud of dust mentality. but in
reality, nicks will be LONG GONE before we pic at #25 so
te dilema wont be happening.

Where Nicks goes will depend on his 40 time at the combine I think. If he posts in the mid 4.5s as expected, I think he will be there when we pick at 25 and will probably be there in the second round. If he can get in the mid 4.4s instead, he might be gone before we pick at 25.

I still think Maclin, Crabtree and Harvin all go before Nicks at this point. DHB might go before him as well. So, there would almost have to ba run on these guys for Nicks to not be there at 25.

I would like to have Nicks. But, I don't know if I would grab him at 25. We might get just as a productive player in Barden in the 3rd round.

You really think Nicks is going to be gone before 25?

Probably not, but he might not be available with our 2a, teams like ravens/colts/tenn/giants will be looking for a WR, and all of them are picking after us in the first round.

So if the FO really want Nicks, then they will have to take him in the frst round

Nicks is the ONLY receiver I have any interest in (in this draft). He reminds me (as others have said) of Michael Irvin.

IMO, he goes somewhere between our 1st and 2a.

Nah, I think Nicks goes before Harvin. I see Nicks becoming this year's Dwayne Bowe. After the Senior Bowl and Combines, Bowe shot up boards and went higher than anyone expected. I believe Bowe was top 15, if I'm not mistaken.

I see Nicks top 20 and expect Harvin to be the one to drop a little because of his lack of size.

Finally, if MIA had a first round WR in mind....it would be Anquan Boldin, not Harvin or Nicks...
