2008 AFC EASTERN DIVISION CHAMPIONS!
offensive Thoughts - He feels the offense needs to finish drives, create more explosive plays, and have better gap control on oline
Disappointed that for the first time this season they got no turnovers. they had poor tackling on perimeter, but was happy about 3rd downs (Getting off the field), he wants to work on depth and experience of some guys ..
sp teams will field no starters, they evaluate many many players on sp teams and it's a work in progress..
jason allen, practiced at CB more this week but wants to eventually put him in one place and leave him there.. He said Jason Told him he feels he's learned the safety position and is more comfortable there, but they will continue to evaluate the sitatuion with him
overall plan is still a work in progress and still alot of things that need more time invested in them... wants more consistency game in and out, not just one game, but for an entire 16+ game season.... he said the plan isn't done until you get to the destination (superbowl) and even then, you have to get up the next day and go back at it with the exact same plan.... focusing on what to do to get to the destination again, that you've never arrived, you can win a championship, but that doesn't mean you're done, then it's just time to figure out how to plan to get to the destination again...
Pleased with Daunte, looked quicker, moved better, sharper, more confident...
He feels that everything we get with Daunte is a bonus considering the initial expectations about his playing status...
is VERY jovial with the reporters today, but, they keep trying to get him to answer hypothetical's and he keeps refusing to answer those and comparison questions like, "do you feel better where you are this year compared to this time last year"... Nick finally answered "I'm not disappointed"
Running game, struggled with big guys inside.. two inside guys are overpowering and created a mismatches for our guys and we didn't do as good a job as we need to... we need to get better... doesn't feel they can't be corrected.. it's not where they want it to be, but they aren't completely disappointed..
No info on Manny Wright's status
Dan Wilkenson is a bright guy and it's been an easy transition for him football related... he is "our" style player and his versatility is beneficial to the team..
Said Fred Evans has played well as a rookie and feels comfortable rotating him in with Truck and Big Daddy..
Benny Anderson - question was asked about his health and Nick asked "Is there something you know that I don't? lol...
pretty much that was that...
