Is the Nicktator just yanking our cranks and trying to smooth over the QB thing just for the fans and media ?? To avoid the QB controversy ?? Naming AJ and Get-on-the-bus-Gus as "co-starters ???"

C'mon Nick, we want some controversy here...we want to battle out this QB thing amongst ourselves and make this bigger than the rest of the team...

At least with Wanny, we could depend on him rousing up a controversy...

Really just kidding some, but beings that Saban is a psych major, he probably has the announcement of the starting QB planned out and playing it for all it's worth...

my opinion is that there shouldnt be any controversy. it'll only cloud things. weve been there, done it. theyll be enough drama with the characters employed in miami, especially this ronnie brown stuff. its only the beginning.

i think that the coaching staff involved want to approach the QB situation as hoenst as possible. doesnt mean theres no subtle favourites but to be true to our chances, we gotta let them play to win the job.

controversy is a media term, theres still a fight to see whos best. If we trust Nick we trust him to pull the trigger when he sees fit. The difference between this year and last is that no one trusted the coaching staff and they didn't even have a good plan.

Im excited to see who gets the nod frankly. I'm also excited to see them both play next week. Should be fun. All i gotta say though is whoever doesn't 'start' that game better light it up on the 2nd team.

This is something that Dolphins fans aren't used to seeing. A real Quarterback competition as opposed to a staged quarterback competition. By naming the two guys co starters at this point, Nick makes it clear that the competition is real. Plus, the two are alternating snaps with the first unit.

Now, think back to the Wannstedt days. How many times did he say the quarterbacks were competing for the position in training camp? How many times did he allow those quarterbacks to split the snaps with the first unit? How many times did anyone see a name other than Jay Fiedler listed at the #1 quarterback spot on the depth chart?

The way Nick is handling this proves what a farce Dave's so called QB competitions were. I've long said that Dave never even considered giving anyone other than Jay Fiedler the opportunity to be the Dolphins starter.

well dave was a guy who walked on egg shells. He was winning with fiedler, can't say i totally blame him for sticking with his formula. However, We all knew that this team needed more then just 'to win', we needed to win when it mattered most too.

Controversy is what the media like to ferment, because talking about the facts & just discussing football specifics is too boring for them.

Especially that idi0t on channel 7. I still can't believe he hasn't been replaced with a REAL SPORTSCASTER.

If they MUST keep him, probably because he's related to someone over there, then they should at least LIMIT the damage by restricting him to just covering baseball.:fire: :fire: :fire: :fire:
