I just read that we supposively have lost interest in OT Tom Ashworth.....sucks.......but if we use the money to sign Arrington or Peterson and also have Will Allen join us(better than Reggie Howard), then we could use the 16th pick of the draft to get Winston Justice or Eric Winston, if Justice is not available(i know they are both LT's but they can learn to shift to the right side with Houck as our O-Line coach)and shift the right side of our O-Line a spot to the left(LT-Shelton, LG-James, C-Hadnot, RG-Carey, RT-Justice or Winston).....thoughts???:dolphins:

I would rather draft Marcus McNeill than either of those 2... but that is my opinion...

Perhaps, but I just think he'll take the best player available. Oh and Eric Winston is a MAJOR reach at #16. He's not even projected to go in the 1st.

I want Ashworth I do not want to take a chance on a young Tackle! But if we use the money in a better way as the original poster pointed out then its not so bad!

I feel like Houck can find a solid lineman in the 3rd. I see Saban going CB or LB(sig).

besides, Houck finds quality lineman later in the draft. Oline is something that can be taught, given that they have size... which most do

dbacks, a lot of their intangibles like awareness, speed and agility cannot be taught. We MUST go dback at 16.

heres the link: Rick Stroud, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins have apparently lost interest in free agent OT Tom Ashworth (Patriots).

I agree...I don't think we'll spend a 1st pick on a O-lineman now that we have Shelton at LT. Though I wouldn't mind if we did. Not that I think Shelton is great but I think he's better than Dmac.
Yeah I think they'll be some good O-linemen in the 3rd like Daryn Colledge and Rob Sims.

There are still several solid o-lineman available and we could use either a center or a tackle.

Jeff Mitchell from Carolina is a durable veteran center.
Trey Teague from Buffalo can play either center or tackle and Mularkey is familiar with him.
Jon Runyan may be a bit expensive, but the longer he's on the market, the more his price will drop. A mauler at right tackle.
Stephen Neal from New England could play guard and allow Hadnot to move to center.

So even if we have lost interest in Ashworth, I think there are several options that would be an upgrade to what we had last season.

i dont want to waste our 1st pick on a ol. The heck with that crap. Get a Wr or address the secondary with a safety or Cb

You are right, Marcus McNeil is one of the most underrated players in the NFL draft. NO sacks at Auburn, the guy is massive and makes huges holes for RB's.
