The fact that the game was sold on would only affect the local people anyway(if it was a reg.season game) The rule if the game isnt sold out is it isnt televised a certain area around the stadium. However if it is close to a sellout the tv networks often buyout the rest of the tickets so locals can watch and the network gets to air the game.
