Wow the Lions have 0 confidence in Harrington. They pull him out of the game and put in Garcia. The commentators just said that the coaches coached up the recievers and told them to expect more zip on the ball and a faster pace with Garcia in the game.. Why does anyone want Harrington in Miami when he cant get it done with a solid surrounding cast in det?

His playcalling sucks and I'd want him to compete not give him a starting job here. However, Orlovsky is getting a chance I see...

i saw joey harrington a while ago and the int was not his fault roy williams fell down. I may not be on the joey harrington bandwagon but i think he is being victimized by mouch i think the kid can throw the ball well , futhremore,, if he had a good coach he might be ok . it he is in a bad situation similar to brian greise when he was here.
just for the record i am on the brady quinn bandwagon.

If he sucks like that in Detroit (with great WR's and a great RB), image how bad he would be in Miami...:shakeno:

Mooch is more to blame than Harrington for Detroits impotence. Now he's benching Jones? C'mon, obviously Mooch was a mediocre at best college coach and a bad NFL coach.

who? none of them have panned out at all yet. they can't get seperation and they're dropping passes, and rogers has the off the field stuff. his receivers get as much blame as harrington himself

Harrington sucks...I am sorry. My Bro is a Lions fan so I know about Detroit. My bro thinks they should have kept Mike McMahon and not drafted Harrington and I agree. Joey is a bust. Don't forget he comes from the same college as AJ Feeley....that school cannot produce QBs.

yeah, that Dan Fouts was horrible...

anyhow, i would not seal Joey Harrington's casket just yet... i'd say the scheme and personnel can certainly make a QB look bad... some cities just aren't a good fit, and a West Coast pretty boy in a blue collar city often doesn't work... further, anyone who gets 1.5 seconds per pass attempt becomes jumpy and gun shy... we're not talking about David Klingler or Akili Smith, here... He can throw all the passes, and he's fiery... At a reduced price, I'd say he could really blossum here... Or elsewhere... There is value at failed (still young) QBs like this... Look at the big picture here, people...

Regardless of what some people say, coaching IS everything...

Coaching and situation ruin and make careers...

I wouldn't mind the coaches atleast taking a look at him.

Williams is the only great WR I think the Lions have in my opinion. Atleast that's the only guy I always seeing making the amazing catches.

agree 110% these receivers suck. Just because they were selected high in the draft doesnt mean they have worked out. Their offense isnt that great. Harrington isnt that great but he takes all the heat even when Wrs drop passes, his Rb disappears for half the season and his oline is nothing to right home about. Hes not that bad but he isnt that good either. Mooch and Millen should be getting their resumes prepared, they should both be fired in the offseason.

The guy I'd really hope to get this season atleast as a stopgap solution for as long as he can last is Steve McNair. He's a very consistent QB, is having a decent year with a HORRIBLE team, and if he had a damn worth of protection, a running game, and more experienced receivers he'd be quite good. He'll be 33 next season which isn't bad for a QB age wise. Hopefully Kevin Carter can bring him over. Then in the draft we can get a mid round prospect to develop and if see fit, fire on a franchise QB in next year's draft...

Some people say he's too beat up, but he'll be fine behind even an average OL, especially with the threat of Ronnie Brown.
