This season, coming off a 4-12 record last year, I find it odd that we have no division home games in the first 8 weeks of the season. Our first division home game is against NE on the 10th week of the season (including the bye week.)

I believe this is a huge disadvantage. I think the Jets game would have went different had it been a home game. The south Florida heat would have worn down the Jets. And I think we would have out played them in the second half and came out with a win.

The way this season has been scheduled, it has totally taken away our 'heat' advantage at home vs division teams.

Of course, we will be off to NE on the last week of the season, to play them in a cold weather game. So, NE gets a weather advantage against us, that we wont get against them. Seems real fair...

Not that I'm making excuses and blaming the schedule for loses or anything. I'm just pointing out that it seems odd that our schedule turned out this way.

I think it is to our advantage. This way we don't have to go up North in December.

We are terrible in the cold.

so much information and things go into making schedules, i can't blame the NFL for this. it happens for some teams

I would much rather loose our heat "advantage" than have to deal with the cold "advantage" up north in the snow...

Well we went to NY early and lost.
They'll come here late, and we have no weather advantage. Who knows how that goes.

The Pats will have a weather advantage against us, we wont have one against them. How does that work out to an advantage?

Playing the Bills early over there and them coming here later is a wash, imo. I would rather play them here early, without RW, and then go there late in the season with RW. I think that would at least get us a win.

Overall I see it as a disadvantage.

Okay, how did the Jets game end up? Yeah, we didn't battle the cold, but now they wont have to battle the heat. So, what could have been a 1-1 record could become a 0-2 record in the division against them.

How do you think the Pats game at the end of the year IN THE COLD will end? They wont have to deal with the heat this year.

Thats the point, we play the division champs from last season, in the cold, however they DO NOT play us in the heat. You think this is an advantage? Really?

You guys are too worried about December let downs. That is in the past, with wanny and JJ. Those coaches wore our team down with hard hitting practices. We would go into the last 6 games of the season with lots of injuries, and a worn down team. That isn't happening under Saban.

a-plus

 No division games at home in the first half of the season could turn out to be an advantage for our dolphins in the second half of the season. We all know how strong our dolphins come out during the first half of the season than fade late. Our division games this season are mostly at home when we seem to hit a wall, but even given that predictable history our division home games in the second half might be a turn around for an even better second half. Give'em hell miami.

You guys seems to not understand we are still playing the Pats in the cold. They just aren't playing us in the HEAT. That is NO advantage.

Also, we ALREADY lost @ NY. So, now, they'll come here later in the season, with the weather playing no factor in the game. That is a disadvantage.

screw those jet's, bills, and patriots. Home field advantage during the second half of the season in our division games will be a deciding factor of our teams season and record. Do I hear anyone else thinking playoffs?

We can still win our heat games against other teams outside the division. But we have to win. Plus we are likely to have go better next year for our run at the superbowl.

from my experience, i always thought our FO was always pushing for our division games to be played at home in the second half of the season so we wouldn't have to play in, God forbid, the snow...

The last snow game i remember where we actually played well was that Turkey day game against Dallas...ah, that was probably my happiest Thanksgiving ever...
