I'm already tired of hearing the excuses for Ricky. If he failed the drug test or missed the test, doesn't matter.......it's a one year suspension regardless. I have seen too many posts already trying to bail Ricky out.
I can let the first time he retired slide, because he chose to do what makes him happy. This time, is inexcusable. Even if he was on a "vacation" in India, doesn't make it ok to miss a test. Now, if he was only in India for a few days and the NFL tried contacting him and could not, I can understand him missing the test. BUT, if he goes away for weeks at a time, he has to know that the NFL could hit him with a test.
I also don't want to hear the NFL is too harsh with these tests. Ricky put himself in this position where if he screws up, it's one year out of the game. If this turns out to be true, he let down his teammates, coaches and the fans (I'm not talking about the average fan, I'm talking about the Dolphins fans that welcomed him back after the early retirement).
I don't care what anyone says, Ricky doesn't love football. He may not even like it. I'd rather him do what makes him happy and be happy in life rather than him feel imprisoned by the NFL.
