I love how our Defense is getting a FREE PASS. why?

Because there may get a sack or Turnover here or there.

This D never stop a opponent 3 and out
It's more like 8 and out or 6 and out

Just enough to always change field position
Where Wanny when you need him JK

This is a average D period

I would agree that they have not been spectacular. But they have been pretty good. Compared to the offense they have been "SPECTACULAR." But must be demoralizing to watch our offense go three and out quite a bit. I think the D has played well enough for Miami to be 4-0...they have yet to give up 20 points in a single game (17, 16, 10, 17). That should be good enough IMO...

I'm sorry I can't agree about our defense playing pretty good as you said cause is not like we have play the top offensive teams yet.Just wait until this defense start playing real good offensive teams that is when this is gonna turn real ugly than what it is right now!
 
-Zach Thomas has lost one, maybe two steps.
-Renaldo Hill is a dimeback/backup at best.
-Travaris Tillman sucks to me, maybe #5 safety caliber.
-Dre Goodman is a decent nickel back I guess.
-Donnie Spragan is a backup, period. Nothing special.

Jason Taylor, Keith Traylor, & Will Allen have impressed me the most, although Allen does get beat a bit. He's tough though.. he keeps on fighting. Travis Daniels is a guy who I'm going to give another few weeks to evaluate, because he simply hasn't had enough reps.
 
It's pretty hard when the offense goes 3 and out every drive. The defense was very good today and if it wasn't for turnovers, it would've been 17-10.

I got news for ya. D is not our problem. Our D was ranked #7 today and they only allowed 17 points. That is not bad D. I would recheck you theory. Seriously lacking, much like our Offense.

Well, that I have to agree with.

When you win the turnover ratio, you are supposed to win football games.

How many times have we had a team 3 and 8 3 and 9 3 and 12

just to see our D give up a Wr 10 yrd down in or isolation with the TE on Zach piling over ZT just to pick up
the 1st down

yes our O is worst, but thats no excuse for the D.
Teams are always change field position on the Fin .

Our O is always starting for the 25 and back after some type of a penalty

This D is not very good forget the Ranking 1-3 is the Fins ranking

Our problem on D isnt talent. Its we blitz too much when we could just rush 4 or five and cover the rest. Our D was playing great for 3 quarters. They were just fine, when our offense does not do anything, then the D gets overwhelmed week after week of this crap. Our problem is DC and Mularky and OL which basically is our entire O.

totally agree with you about 3rd qrt. our D holds up well.

**it's just team are not going 50 again our D but 70 80 yrds drives to score

**We're give up big plays of 18,20 ever 30 yards every Game
**It's obvious we have No depth. Are we tired in the 4th Qrt.
** I not saying our D is the Main problem (ol) but it's shouldn't get a free pass
*** Next game or the rest the year lets kept track of the time possession and how many team team go 3 and out on our D.

we cant run or pass cuz our line can't block. I have watched every minute of every game and I think cpep isn't even one of the top 3 reasons we are where we are.

I thought we gave up over 20 to pitt, but since it was pointed out otherwise, I am appalled anyone point the finger at our D.

Our O line needs to get it in gear. missed blocks and stupid penalties kill 3 out of every 4 of our drives. suspect playcalling also comes into play. WE abandoned the run way to early today. Ronnie only rushed 12 times. we have no balance on offense, and apparently we love to run shotgun.

Benless pittsburgh at this point is undefeated.

its our oline bro. just face it.

mcintosh was like our third guy to start RG today in four games.
we don't even have five guys who can start week to week. VC and JJ I think are the only guys from last years line starting this year.
shelton has not lived up to expectations and RG is a major problem.
hadnot I guess is doing okay, although I am sure he is responsible for his share of missed assignments as well.

That's a really poor argument, especially since that win came against us.

You're inferring that Charlie Batch, who has basically proven himself to be no better than a back-up, is someone to be reckoned with.

I agree that the offense is the #1 culprit here. But that poster was right to point out that these defensive performances came against a bunch of offensive lightweights and needs to be viewed with a bit more analytical eye.
