This team lacks identity, bottom line, are we a passing team or a running team, or do we seek balance.

If so the first 5 weeks say were a passing team.

However History tells us that when we run 26-30 times we win.

My concern here is, and because I have been in Management, whenever new management comes in, the initial thoughts are to change the mentality.

And in this case Saban wanted to changed the mentatilty of Wanny's run heavy offense , to a more passing favored offense.

Is our coaching staff telling us, that they are willing to sacrifice the entire season to change the way we play offense, because it is absolutely clear to all of us that if we ran the ball 30-35 times a game we would win.

I'm ok with that, but if that is the case then why did we decide at the end of last year to favor the run?

It doesn't make sense and our team lacks consistency on offense and that is a direct result of a coaching scheme that doesn't know where they want to be.

I don't blame Ronnie Brown, (except for the dropped pass, and fumble) Running backs need to get into a rhythm just like Qb's but how can you do that if you don't hand it off? Unless, well , we want to be a pass first team, and again if that is the case THEN WHY DID WE RUN THE BALL AT THE END OF 2006???????

No one would have questioned Saban, if we had lost all the games last year? But now he will be questioned because just like he preaches consitency, his staff and its playcalling lacks consistency.

The numbers don't lie, when we run we win, and it appears that The staff refuses to fall back on the run until this team learns to be explosive in the air.

Just my thoughts.
