Many are posting that we should replace Philbin, Coyle, Tannehill, etc. This may work if you want 3 or more years to keep complaining and bitching and moaning, which some enjoy.

I have no interest in doing this. I have been a Phinatic for many years, and am getting tired of starting over. I will always bleed aqua but, my patience is at limit to continue the same time and effort on our team.

So, I'm hoping the team turns things around with Philbin this year and get to the playoffs. I believe we have the talent to do this, and think more should be hoping for the same.

A new start is NOT a good answer.

We don't have to tear apart everything if we get a new head coach. Look at KC. They got Andy Reid and made the playoffs. This offense is pretty good if you add some OL. The defense needs a new scheme and I think they could be pretty good. No reason to turnover the roster. Just the coaches. We could make the playoffs right away with Tannehill. The coach coming in needs to believe in Tannehill. That has to be a prerequisite. But you will be hard pressed to find a coach who doesn't

I heard this same BS while Ireland was here! WE NEVER DID "START OVER". We replaced a piece here...we replaced a piece there. Look where it got us! The right thing to do is to fire the entire coaching staff. I would even be up for firing Tannenbaum and Hickey. I like some things that Hickey is done...but he just doesn't do it completely...we are still working with a **** OL after two years.

After 3 years and seeing the repeated inability to develop our team, preparation inadequate, game plans questionable, ability to adjust snails pace, 2 min drill lol, same stuff for three years, this kinda brings to mind something Albert Einstein once stated:

" "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Well the same old start I bet ain't gonna work either....whatever.... pretty much all my guts have been torn out so I'm not real full of much expectations anymore

That's more like it doc. After your positive thread yesterday I was starting to get worried :)

We should table this discussion until at less the middle way point before coming to any conclusions. Two games in and you guys are ready to throw in the towel :idk:

I'm not really happy with a few of our coaches but will give them a chance to get it right.

you're right and I'm not giving up. mainly because I believe in Tannehill and if the coaches let him do his thing we can go far. I also expect Suh and Wake to be better, however Coyle stinks and this team always gets off to a slow start under Philbin. my optimism has been tabled at this point. if we make it to 3-1 I will be impressed however

Starting over doesn't mean your team will suck. Hire the right head coach and watch the team start tearing **** up. Watching that Todd Bowles defense yesterday, you have to wonder how we would do with him at the top.

or Dan Quinn, however I will admit that the Jets have been better then the Falcons who have barely scraped by to this point. I expect the Jets offense to level out though. you can't get 5 turnovers every game to help you out

Just because you change the coaching staff does not meanyou start from scratch. I think dolphin coaches have brainwashed the fans to believe this so we never want them fired lol.
Dan Quinn just took over Atlanta and I did not see some mass exodus of the roster, same in Denver.

Not just Todd but he hired our DL coach Kacy Rodgers to run the defense and our old WR coach Karl Dorrell.....

We can win with Philbin, we just need more players, all we do in the off season is replace good players with good players we never keep our guys and add good players...so we continue to be mediocre.....no coach can take these players and make them SB contenders....we need more talent...we have 1 real CB, No LB just a couple of good projects, 2 pass rushers that are limited and one run stuffer.....we have a good enough OL but no depth, no depth at WR with just two good ones, no alpha #1 and an unknown...no #1 running back...this front office is expecting a bunch of dudes to turn into players, not going to happen in so many different areas....I say give Philbin some players to work with but it seems he's the one chasing off the good ones.....

So I agree with you, we are too close to start over we just need to bring in help without losing what we already have....

You must love going 8-8.

Only mass exodus will be the fanbase AGAIN if the total over hype and under performances continue. Dolphins are so deep in mediocrity and a non factor every season its not even suprising anymore. Its just boring now.
