No Link-Fins and Chargers talking according to a friend

A guy with some sources close to the NFL, left a message this morning that I didnt get that the Jake Long paper work was being processed into the NFL this morning...So hes on the ball...

Anyway, he says that the Dolphins want a QB in the last first round and have talked with the San Diego Chargers about getting him if hes there....I wonder what we'd have to give up...It has to be Flacco but could be Henne...

Ill try and get a source for you asap...
 
I mean anything is possible, being the nfl.

With all our other needs i just don't see it. If we needed a qb that would without question be better than beck i could see moving up with the second pick. But i don't see that.

Not to doubt your source or its validity, I would be shocked if that happened. Not with the depth of talent from 20-60. We can get a great guy at 32 and not give up anything. Makes no sense to me.

Of course, your assessment of the crop of available QB's may be different than Parcells & Company.
 
I would be very disappointed if we did that. We should not be giving up draft picks, if anything we need to trade down to collect more.

Without a doubt. And everyother player in the draft for that matter. But if BP and Co. have their heart set on a guy and they have an opportunity, it is totally possible, and they def. have lots of time to work on the second pick, now that J.Long is done and wrapped up.
 
Let me try to get this confirmed by my cousin's friend's uncle's poolboy who also cleans AJ Smith's daughter's pool twice a week. I'll get back to ya as soon as possible.

With the recent trade talk of the Dolphins wanting to trade JT i assume JT could be included and we will snag there 1st rd pick.

its pretty well known now that the dolphins are looking to move into the the late first round...that was established this morning...the person i got a message from said that the team they have a good shot at swapping with is San Diego...discuss that not the credibility of my authority...
 
its confirmed that JTs being shopped and miamis asking for a late first. I buy this. I hope its a straight up trade though. JT for their first would be great IMO.
 
IM it would have to be Brohm he is the second best QB in this draft. Then Henne Flacco rounding the group.

I have seen to much JP Losman in Flacco for me to advocate taking him (Wait I am a Bills fan YES TRADE UP and take Flacco)

Personality-wise or ability-wise? Losman's personality rubbed me the wrong way right out of the gate, and his play hasn't changed my mind.
 
The only problem with that is San Diego picks 27th, then in line is Dallas, SF, G-Bay, and NYG...then the Fins. None of the teams between our 2nd and the Chargers 1st want a QB do they? If he is there for the 27th wouldn't he be there for the 32nd.
 
It has to be Brohm. I think Flacco will be there until almost our #57 and Henne should be ther at #64 and he will be at #57 for sure.

That is Groves they are targeting. Why? Because SF wants him. That would be what I think.

Lee2000 You would be trading JT for Groves
