The above article talks about the best, worst free agent moves. Why they only mention how Saban robbed MN is baffling to me. Putting aside our biases, wouldn't you guys think we would rate somewhere in this article. This also backs up my thread earlier which a lot of people agreed and a few disagreed that Saban played poker with the Culpepper trade.

Prob. because the Pep thing was a trade... not a FA move...

If there is a thing about offseason moves... you can bet Pep will be in there...

TO wasn't a FA either, but it made the list of worst trades.

what are you talkin about dude?? philly cut to, making him a Free Agent. and he was picked up by dallas.

they also mention how saban got Will Allen who they say cant catch for crap :shakeno: i think he messed up on a few players but that just me

well he supposedly can't catch for crap, and that has been his rep, but his rep also says that he is a hard hitter and breaks up a lot of passes (some he should have caught). Unlike Madison though who couldn't tackle for crap and gave up way too much and it is not as if he was burning up the INT stats the last couple years either.

Time will tell if Will will be a good corner. I have my questions about offering 4 mil a year. I hope the contract is rear-loaded. I would like to think Saban will see how he performs before giving away the farm. :rolleyes2

I'd much rather see him drop an interception than see the WR make the catch. That fact that he has a reputation for dropping INT's tells me that he's a good enough player to get himself in position to defend the pass.

By signing Daunte and Will we upgraded to spots. Isn't that the goal of offseason..to upgrade.....

Actually... TO was a FA. He got cut by Philly...

Madison couldn't catch (or tackle for that matter) worth a crap and he was a good CB for us. I don't see how Allen having butterfingers makes him a bad player. Him being in position for an INT is good enough for me.

There's also a saying "If a CB could catch, he'd be a WR."

well, if he was a receiver then that would scare me, but like Finscrazy said, that also means he was in position to break up the pass. He's fast and he tackles, two upgrades on the position. I would be curious to know which of our new guys you don't like.

I think you could deduce one thing out of all that. He likes the Jets and hates the dolphins.
