I heard the Marlins are moving to Orlando! Yes!!

about time...now i will beable to tell that they are playin football out there....and maybe they will relies it too....:D

Thats cool as it keeps them in FL and I go to Orlando in the summer nearly every year so I can keep following them. It also means we can finally have a football only field again!

This isnt even posted anywhere on the internet and I havent heard it anywhere, so Im not saying its not true but I doubt it

This is the only thing I could really find

Orange County Commissioner Mildred Fernandez has called for an exploratory committee to look into luring the Marlins to Orlando, WFTV-TV in Orlando reported on its website. But Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty said he has no plans at the moment to form a committee.
The Marlins, who declined comment on the Orlando development, are continuing to pursue efforts to get a new stadium in Hialeah, while Major League Baseball explores the possibility of a ballpark near Miami Arena.

This isn't happening. All there is to the story is some Orlando Commissioner said that he would like to explore the possiblity of building a stadium for the team to move to Orlando. Major League Baseball is committed to keeping the team in South Florida.

It's just a rumor. Marlins still have a 5 year lease in Dolphin stadium, and are likely to stay untill the lease is over.

I also heard rumors of the Marlins playing in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. We'll see how things pan out.

I like the Marlins and I wouldnt mind if they moved to Orlando although I would prefer if they could build a stadium in S.Florida.

I will still support them.I am a bigger Dolphin fan so I will be happy when that infield disappears from Dolphin Stadium.

without the dirt infield our season, our season may turnaround, oh wait, we have 3 road games in a row!

Just a rumor. We will see. Its prob not going to happen. Why doesnt the Dolphins get their own stadium? That stadium is awful. There is no Home Field Advantage!

Biggest question would be, do they keep the name 'Florida' Marlins? I don't recall seeing many marlins up here in Orlando. Orlando Lovebugs? Orlando Rollercoaster?
