Since week 1 I haven't really seen any very deep passes thrown. I know we work the middle of the field pretty well but I would love to see more shots down field

You would have to pose that question to the right side of the o line.

Well its not like you cant keep in a few extra guys and take a shot down field..Even sending out 3 should give you plenty of time out of the gun..I think its because Henne cant find anyone deep..Its rare that he completes a deep pass..Always over throwing players.. The throw to Hartline was a deep one and was on the money tho...

I also was expecting more Slants..We ran them in preseaon and Henne was accurate with them and on time.. None so far this year in the regular season that I can remember.

I dont know why we are throwing down the sideline by Marshall a couple times and letting his atheticsim win the jump ball if covered. But again, he may just drop it?????

Without any semblance of pass protection from the right side there's no point in calling them, Henne would get buried.

Well if you take more players and load up the blocking, you may have 3 WRs and none of them being a true deep threat unless gates was one. Take and give. Need solid 5 on the o-line to be capable of running an effective offense. We don't have that.

The problem with mass protection is that the players on defense are not stupid.

And btway, sending 3 WRs out is often done, sending only 2 out is really more of mass protect.

What you are going to see is your WRs getting doubled or worse.

Oh so defensive players now that your gonna keep players into block before you snap the ball? Ok, Maybe if you do it out of the same formation over and over again... Not saying you do it everydown man...You catch teams when you see that they are showing blitz or when they have a tendency to blitz.. Thats when you take a shot. Even if a player like Marshall is double covered at least see what he can do with the ball in the air.
