What is with all these people leaving posts that say we are smoke screening for so and so and so that this team will trade up with us. Everyone in the NFL knows are needs and they know that BP wants to trade down. They know we are not sold on Matt Ryan or anyone else on the Top pick. Atlanta would be dumb to trade down 2 spots for a QB when they will have to sacrifice so much to get one player. They are like Miami and have a few pressing holes on their team. The Dallas trade is a myth and is quite funny people still believe it will happen.

Im going to go out on a limb here to and say we are not even for sure we will take Chris Long. Vernon Gholston is huge and strong power DE/OLB hybrid. It has been noted that Miami coaching staff loved him. It is evident that are high on them when they sent there D cordinator to take him out to dinner and instruct him on drills on his pro day. I would rather have him than Long. Ive seen Long play and he is good but didnt show up in a cositent manner in the ACC and wasnt a strong force until his was senior. Ive see him play the Hokies three times and he didnt blow everyone away like everyone assumes. His highlight are just that. The ACC is not known for strong tackle play. Ohio State is known for strong productive pro players who have played high level football. He is going to be more productive at the pro level than Long. Forget who his daddy is and move on people.

SMOKE SCREENS are not happening yet, if we trade out will package a player with it. JT and number one is a strong likelyhood. I for one love him but love the idea of the trade more. He is my favorite player but he wants out and its time for us all to move on in a new direction. I hope we do because we will have a huge amount in doing this.

Exactly!! A smoke screen for the smoke screener's, if we think they know what we think then we can trick them in to believing what we want them to think.
:woot:

No offense to this thread starter, but with all do respect, we can post whatever thoughts we may have; however crazy or lame as you may think thay are.

I truly feel that there are a TON of smokescreens right now as to who Miami will pick. Whether you like reading about it, or not.

Dont think you shouldnt be able to but that doesnt mean I cant say they are dumb.

You and Ricky must be smoking the same stuff.... Im pretty sure you are confusing yourself.

Im just saying all these theories are getting a lil crazy. Why would Dallas a prooven good draft team trade up in that crazy trade scenario. Why would Atl give up so much for two spots. Im not really concerned with your opinions of me just wondering where your logic is coming from on this. These teams are all professionals they are going to trade in crazy scenarios that fans draw up so they get a crap load of benifits.

We have the first selection and can take whoever we want. The pick isnt going to be traded due to the simple reason, no one really wants to pick first. There are NO SMOKE SCREENS to be made in regards to our first selection.

Now as far as who we may take in later rounds, Im sure there will be some "misinformation" out there.

Its called doing good buisness! Even though there is a small chance we trade out of #1 it is good for a team to posture just incase. Teams do it every year so dont think were the only one's.

We wont get a "crap load" of benefits from anyone but its smart from a buisness standpoint to give mixed signals, just incase a team happens to fall in love with a certain player.

Wanny and Spielman traded up a few spots for Vernon Carey. Teams get crazy.
