Wide receiver Brandon London has just about everything the Dolphins’ fear in a wide receiver - size, strength and speed.

The combination has killed the Dolphins twice this season, courtesy of Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald and Houston’s Andre Johnson, a pair of Pro Bowlers had a combined 16 catches and 331 yards in wins against Miami.

If only the 6-foot-4, 210-pound London had NFL experience, he might be able to pitch in. Coach Tony Sparano hinted it might not be long.

Nice! we can use all the help at WR now. Maybe london and ginn jr can form a nice tandem.

I guess you're not a big fan of Greg Camarillo.

I like Ginn and all, but Camarillo is our most productive receiver at this point.

I would love to see this kid play why not give him a shot.

Well, hopefully London's development continues to progress further and further to the point that the team will cut Ernest Wilford. I know that seems like a major stretch, but.... Wilford sucks.

He was at one time the 5th reciever on a good Giants recieving corps, I'd like to see them use him in Sunday's game and exploit that banged up secondary of the Ravens, London has earned a shot by playing solid on special teams, he's very athletic and big , something we lack in games, i got a great feeling he will be like Cobbs was last week but we will win this game, i love hungry players!

This could work out great if Camarillo continues being productive, if London begins to become a threat, it could open up things for Ginn a little more. As it stands now, teams can hone in on Ginn since we have very few threats at WR.

NYPhinzfan, you make an excellent point! if you look at some of the most successful recieving corps , they usually have a fast guy (Ginn Jr.) , good route runner and dependable hands (Camarillo) and the big athletic reciever (London)...I'd start the game with those 3, like you said it can open things up.

i remember looking at the guy on the sidelines, clapping and trying to keep the team motivated after just getting signed the week before.

Combine that with that blocking he showed on the P. Cobbs screen, and its clear to me, Brandon London is gonna be a player for us. When you see a guy do the little things like this, you know hes dreaming of the bigger things and just doing whatever he can to get there.

London's block is why Cobbs scored on that screen. That is the best block I have seen by a Dolphin receiver in years. We need him on the field as much as possible if he can block like that. I say get the ball to him at least once to see what he can do!!

The Next Marques Colston?

Per Rotoworld:
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano is a fan of special teamer and wide receiver project Brandon London.

"He’s getting a whole lot better fast," Sparano said regarding London's progress as a receiver. Deep Dynasty leaguers should take note as London, though raw, has prototypical size and athleticism with little in the way of talent in front of him.

Now the question I propose to you is that, if given the chance by the Dolphins coaching staff, which seems very likely at this point, could Brandon London become the next Marques Colston? He is a big, fast, physical reciever from a small school that got overlooked by every team in the draft, not much different from Colston.

Their pre-draft numbers are very similar:

Colston: Weight: 224 lbs, 40 yd: 4.50 Vert: 37"
London: Weight: 214 lbs, 40 yd: 4.55 Vert: 38"

Their production at small colleges was also very similar:

Colston's Senior Year Stats at Hofstra: 70 rec. for 976 yards (13.9 avg.) and 5 touchdowns

London's Senior Year Stats at UMass: 50 rec. for 781 yards (15.6 avg.) and 9 touchdowns.

My opinion is that London got caught up in a numbers game with way too many young talented receivers in the Big Apple, so he was let go. But much like Colston, the opportunity to play a hefty amount in his offense is there and his for the taking.

The Dolphins' need for a big-time receiver in their offense may not to too far away after all, and he may, in fact, be right under their noses.

Thoughts!?

The Giants wanted to re-sign London to the practice squad but we swooped in and picked him up. He certainly can't be any worse then Derek "drops" Hagan or Ernest "do nothing" Wilford

I wonder if Coughlin put in a word with the Tuna

they knew someone would grab him, so better to have him go to the AFC East

Actually IMO I think Camarillo would be Great in the slot. If London can turn into a legitimate threat and take some focus off of Ginn and Ginn excels Camarillo would kill in the slot...... Think Wes Welker
