Fact is we won't know where we stand until the Pats game. We will beat the Titans and the Texans soundly which should quell all the naysaying for abit then we face New England. This is the do or die game right here all questions will be answered. The Phins will have had time to shake the rust off, should have a couple wins under their belt to boost confidence and will be facing most likely the division leader.

This game will tell all, you can talk til your blue in the face but the fact of the matter is it is too early to tell much of anything about any of the AFC East. Pats have won their first two games barely and havent looked great doing it in either of them. Bills have won 1 of 2 but the 1 being against us and we played so terribly it's hard to make a judgement on how good a team the Bills might be this year. Jets, same thing 1-1 beating the Titans and making a strong comeback in the 4th quarter against the Pats they didnt win but they showed us they have what it takes to play and furthered the cause that the Pats just might no longer be the same team we've become accustomed too the past handfull of years.

My point is, the division is up for grabs all is not lost. We may not be a superbowl caliber team probably not even a playoff caliber team yet but it doesnt mean we can't still take the division and at least give the playoffs a shot.

Now if you were planning to win the Superbowl this year by all means feel free to panic but if your a more realistic fan with hopes of taking the division allow me to state right now, it's not over yet!

Pretty optimistic saying we will beat ANYBODY! Wish I shared your enthusiasm but again feel let down. The Buffalo game is the kind you look back at later and say, "if we had just beaten Buffalo, we'd..." Kinda like the Browns game last year and a couple others.
I'd say cautious optimism here...I really believed we'd kick the crap outta the Jills..that game may or will cost us in the long run. If we don't beat the Titans, and soundly, playoffs or a winning season are gone for sure. Kinda sucks w/ the way most fans felt going in.

Well the problem is we can't start to gel afterwe;ve lost 5 games. It's important we get the ship righted and get our best players playing at their best. Then we can compete againt the best.

We have to do more than that. I won't believe we have a shot at the playoffs unless we come out of new england 3-2.

Yep, it's tough having to wait 2 more weeks to see if we have any playoff hopes but its for the best. The team obviously needs these next 2 games to get it togethor and we should be able to come out with a win in both of these games. Then when we face the Pats theres no more excuses it's put up or shut up time! We will know alot more about this team come game 5 it's too soon to be predicting their season just yet.

I second that. No more excuses!

I can allow for a loss at Pittsburgh. Never thought we had a shot until I heard Batch was going to start. Still, we were in that game.

Buffalo was a bad beat. BUT... we have lost to Buffalo often times when we should have won. Records, stats, and common sense and go out the window when it comes to division games. Any given Sunday...

However, if we can't beat Tennessee at home, then there is something seriously wrong with my Miami Dolphins. There's no excuse anybody can come up with for that.

I am looking for the defense to dominate. I am looking for Culpepper, Chambers, and Brown to have a GREAT game. I am looking not just for a "W" but a "W" with authority. I need something to give me hope for this season.

If we were to win our first 5 games, and then lose 2 games in a row, things wouldn't seem so bad. Well, we have an opportunity now to win our next 5 games! If we can do that, then the Fins are back, baby!

The next five games are crucial games IMO, if the Phins are to have any chance of winning the division, they've got to beat the Jesters and the Patsies, and at least 2 of the 3 other games. So, they've got to go 4-1 and win the two division games. That would put them over .500 and put them at 2-1 in the division. That would put them squarerly back in the hunt. I think they can do it, but our QB play must improve dramatically.

GO PHINS~!
