the Ravens and the Pats are the class of the AFC. Unfortunately we have to beat them to get into the playoffs. Just don't think this team, with all it's injuries and issues, is quite ready for the big time. Thoughts?

We've won 2 straight vs the Pats and are built to beat them. I doubt we'll catch them record wise now but we're able to play with them. The Ravens always seem to have our number but we could have beaten them last year with Sherman and a far less dangerous Tannehill / running game. I love our chances to get some revenge on them.

As far as class goes, those are 2 of the lowest class teams out there. Miami has them both beaten in spades when it comes to class.

If we can hang with the Broncos IN Denver without our best unit performing well, we can beat the Ravens at home. It will be a tough game, but not impossible. If the Dolphins want to be a playoff team, that's the kind of game they need to win.

And remember, the Ravens have benefited from a soft schedule. The NFC South is trash

First of all how can you say that no one loves the Dolphins more than you do? How do you know how much I love the Dolphins.

And secondly what about the Broncos? They are now chicken ****?

Ravens are the class of the AFC because they secured a win in the 4th against a 4-7 Saints team?! Lol

Football is all about match ups. We don't match up with either of these teams. The Pats of the 1st game are not the same Pats of today. Anyone with eyes can see that. With no pass rush, a new power running game and the injuries in our secondary we will get drilled in the rematch. Against the Ravens I don't think we will be able to run against them or have time to pass against that front. On D we apparently now cannot stop a physical running game. You think the Broncos were physical? Geez. The Ravens are 10 times more physical and will dominate us at the point of attack. Their only weakness seems to be the deep ball and I don't even need to go there. Just being honest. I love the Dolphins, but see another 9-7, no playoffs and Philbin gone. Hope I'm wrong.

Baltimore is very smash mouth. They get new guys in every year but always have the same tough mentality. They are a scary team to play even with them being on the road.

Lol. You may love them as much but not more, or longer. I was there in 1966, and went to EVERY game until 1977 when I moved from Miami. I guess you can say I now have a long time love-hate affair with the Dolphins. Please pray for me.

Spare me the matchups argument, Chicago week it was all about how poorly we matched up every day. How did our backup LT and RT matchup to Denvers ends. Oh that's right, 36 points.

Your username is the perfect name for this post!

I knew I'd get pushback from some homers but not total denial. I love the Dolphins but they are flawed, especially against complete teams like the Pats, the Broncos and the Ravens. We shall see.

I agree we are much improved and more talented than inyears past, and we hung in there with them, but Denver is also showing itself to be flawed. See the Pats game. I am not a mindless homer. I can see for myself what our issues and injuries are. We will have to probably win out now to get into the playoffs and I just don't see that happening. Do you?

Baltimore is 7-4, but only 3-4 against AFC opponents. They are 4-0 against the horrible NFC South. We are 5-3 against the AFC, and 1-2 against the NFC North (with their worst team left to play). Just think...if we were playing the NFC South this year, we'd probably be 8-3 right now! ... If Baltimore was going up against the NFC North, they may well be 5-6 right now.

I think we beat Baltimore, but loose to New England in a close one. I think we can go 10-6, but we have to plan the Jets twice still. Last time we swept them was 2009. 2-9 doesn't matter when it's a rivalry.

You are probably right. I do think that teams do change throughout a season, and both the Pats and the Ravens are not the same teams that they were earlier in the season. Both of those teams also have a history of making late season runs and winning super bowls, even as wild cards. In order to be considered a serious playoff team, the dolphins must beat teams like this late in the season and on the road. We have a chance to do that this year. I just don't think we can overcome the injuries and inexperience of this team. Just being honest.

Identities like the one you say the Ravens have are not built overnight, has to be earned. This Dolphin team has an offense rolling right now and a D ranked top 5 despite the Manning lesson. Why not now? We don't know what will happen. That's why we tune in every Sunday.

Win out? No. But I also don't see three of these 7-4 teams being locks for 11-5. This league is to parity driven and up and down for any sane NFL fan to say that. I'm not a mindless homer, I've been doom and gloom for 48 hours nearly. Time to put this Denver game away and look ahead to Jets week. Just win, and let he chips fall where they may.
