Geez!!! I have never seen so many whiny, pessimistic fans in my life. When i posted the thread about it being 2 weeks before the Chicago game, i expected to invoke some sort of fan pride and optimism. But as i can see with alot of you, it was a lost cause.

Its getting to the point, that i cant even believe what i am reading sometimes on a FAN SITE. My fiancé even said, “Geez, they sure do complain a lot†I know this season isnt what everyone wanted it to be, me included, definitely. But cmon just because we are 1-6 doesnt mean we abandon the whole season.

What I read on that post, was astonishing. Some stated that because we lost to GB at home, we stand no chance against CHI. Hmmm, nice logic there. In that case Miami should have lost to NE in December of 04. Miami was 2-12 NE was 12-2. Miami SHOULD have lost, but they didn’t. I went into that game with all the optimism in the world. Sure NE was a heavy favorite but that doesn’t mean you chalk them up as a winner. That’s why they play the game, no one knows what can happen.

And if some of you feel that because we are 1-6 we have no shot at any other team this year, What are you still doing here after 04 or the first half of last season. We were not that good but yet you continue to bash the team even after they do good things.

I know I speak for a lot of people on hear when I say, I come to this site to relish in fan pride and feel better about my team. I don’t come hear to hear people bash my team and tell me how they are not going to win the next week, If I wanted to do that I would go on a BUF site.

All I am saying is go into each game with a sense of Optimism, and if you cant find any, well then maybe your not as much of a fan as you thought you were, or even not a fan at all.

Keep your pessimistic views to yourself, or invite some interdivision fans over to your place to chat, im sure they would agree with you.

Two points:

1. No one cares what your wife thinks. We really don't.
2. The following quote is by far the most simple-minded thing I have read on this board (Optimism is not a prerequisite for being a fan): "All I am saying is go into each game with a sense of Optimism, and if you cant find any, well then maybe your not as much of a fan as you thought you were, or even not a fan at all.

I think everyone's optimism went out the window right after the loss to New England... and if it didnt.. it surely was gone by the loss to Houston...

well...no one cares what you think....we really dont. how does that feel?

pessimism never won a game. dont u know anyone who is a pessimist? arent they annoying as hell? going into a game saying "we suck, we'll never win"....well we wont win. u gotta be optimistic.

It is also called being realistic. Look our team sucks. I hope our taem wins each week but if you want to make some money bet against the Dolphins each week. They have a o-7 record against the spread worst in the NFL. Most of the fans on here with a negatiove attitude are just being realistic.

Two Points:

1. The initial poster used his wife's opinions as some sort of way to backup his argument. Who cares? That's all I was saying.

2. Maybe you were unaware of this, but I'll let you in on a little secret: The fans on Finheaven don't play the games. My optimism/pessimism does not affect the outcome of the game. I watched the GB game with passion. I celebrated my team and I cursed my team.

DON'T QUESTION MY LOYALTY TO THIS TEAM BECAUSE I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE 2006 DOLPHINS SUCK.

Optimistic about a team that lost to Houston, Green bay, and The bills two of them games at home and our one win against the Titans.

I am not denying that our team is not good. You would be a fool to. But that doesnt mean you still cant be optimistic. I hate to go on this site and hear people bash my own team. As i stated before i could go on other team sites and hear the same thing. There is nothing wrong with being realistic, but as i said if you cant find any reason to be optimistic about your own team, than maybe you lost the spark for your team.

And thank you so much GardenHead. Totally trashing my remarks without making any new input on the topic whatsoever, makes you look highly intelligent.

oh by the way gardenhead, you should look up the word "fiance".

Ok, Ok, i'm sorry i dropped those 7 passes on sunday, and didn't make the tackle on the 70 yard run,and dropped sure interceptions, and committed those stupid penaties, and missed the field goal to tie the game..... I'm sure if i am more optimistic as a fan, i will not continue to make the same mistakes over and over again every week.........

Having or not having optimism in no way alters the outcome. I think every fan is optomistic otherwise we wouldn't watch. But the facts remain we are a lousy football team. They are playing like potential champions. There is no reasonable thought process that' s would suggest we have a good or even decent chance at winning. When you really think about it the whole concept of being emotionally envolved with something that you have no control of or no way figure in the result is kind of asinine. Such is life.

Neither has blind optimism. It just makes the fans feel better to ignore the fact that the team blows and there is no guarantee that it will be fixed any time soon.

Let me put this in Lamens terms. I, like others on this site, are just sick of fans bashing their own team. There is nothing wrong with stating where we have flaws, or where we need improvement, but when others state, "oh theres no way we win this game." that is just pure pessimism. Sure you can use sarcasm to combat the remarks i have made, which many of you have done, but do you think this makes you look respectable? Look some people that will read my original post will get it, for the others, its just a lost cause and i am willing to except that. But i know that if we are 1-14 going into the last game of the season, i know i will see some sign that leads me to believe we can win that week.

Those signs dont exist. I'm gonna watch ofcourse but the losing may actually be better for the team right now. We need impact players. We are terrible. It's not bashing when you're telling the truth.
