No Punishment?!?!?!

:fire: How the h@ll can you guys vote NO PUNISHMENT?!?! First of all, this shouldn't happen even if Randy McMichael wasn't a pro football player. This is also his second offense. HE SHOULD BE FINED AND SUSPENDED! There is no room for this type of action on this any team. For those of you who voted NO PUNISHMENT, give me your reasons...good ones! Don't give me he gives us a chance to win. I realize that, but that shouldn't even come into play here. He is a man, he hit a woman, he should be punished! As you can see, I don't post a lot, but I am on this wonderful site a few times a day. I just felt like speaking out.

So, you guys that voted NO PUNISHMENT, give me your (well thought out) reasons why.

GO FINS!!! :fire:

Relax you should. Seeming too intense you are.

Because he is a dolphin. And dolphins have special privilages. We can look the other way when its a player from "my team".

There you go, the Pony fan hits it. By the way like me, most of us voted for some type of a punishment.

I didn't vote no punishment (I voted for a fine), but I just wanted to point out that at least one of your facts is wrong.

Charges were not dropped the first time b/c no charges were ever filed. RM was the one who called the police. The only reason he was arrested is b/c the police couldn't figure out who the primary aggressor was. They covered their own asses by dumping it into the hands of the prosecutor as they are trained to do. The prosecutor reviewed the facts and rightfully dropped the case. Therefore, this isn't a 2nd offense.

This incident the police have determined that RM was the primary aggressor, but the reports could be interpreted to show that the only intentional contact was a push. There are contradictory reports as to how the injury occurred. It might have happened as he was throwing things out of the car. While the push can certainly be considered domestic violence it is the most minor offense in that class. If there were no injury (possibly accidental) than it is likely that there would have no arrest.

My guess is that the people that voted no punishment believe that this was not an offense against the team and therefore the team shouldn't be involved in any punishment.

There might be other reasons people voted no punishment, but these were my guesses.

Boy am I glad you are not my boss. If I ever get in trouble with the cops, I hope I dont get fined and suspended at work.

His punishment should depend on what happens with the cops and if charges are pressed and held up. If all charges are pressed, then Randy is off clean. You forget that this country has a saying that everyone is innocent until PROVEN guilty. If all charges are dropped, how can the NFL, his BUSINESS, punish him?

we won 4 games last year. if randys going to get punished for this let it be the police that do it we need to win football games

Ummm, you don't have all the facts and probably never will. Try not over reacting to everything you read!! Do you think the women is always innocent?? There are always two sides to every story. I don't condone abuse of any kind, be it man on women or women on man. But we don't know what lead up to the incident, so I think threads like this are a bit premature.

wow...I didn't know that in the United States we handed out punishment BEFORE SOMEONE was shown to be convicted/liable.

Perhaps the next time some of you HYPOCRITS in this thread get accused of something, your accuser should just punish you immediately without investigating. We know how that goes...you'd be here bitching, moaning, or contacting your supervisor's boss, the local lawyer, the ACLU/NAACP/Women's Rights Advicates/etc.... etc....
