No Punishment?!?!?!

I don't know what actually happened because I wasn't there, but what I can say is taking all things into account if I was on a jury I wouldn't be putting him into the class of a wife beater, (This goes for whatever team he played for). I don't know what goes on behind closed doors and don't pretend to know. What I have seen so far is

The first incident

Randy called 911 himself - This to me isn't the action of someone who wants to beat on his wife.

The "story" that was told is she was beating on him and he pushed her off. - Again I don't know the truth because I wasn't there.

The recent incident.

He was said to have pushed her away from the car several times, and was throwing her crap out when a piece of cardboard "Accidently" hit her in the nose. I haven't heard one person say that he intentionally hit her as of yet.

I would have to believe if Randy wanted to hit her she would be in pretty bad shape.

I do think that they have one of those relationships that will continue to have episodes like this until one of them leave or they get serious therapy.

Now as a disclaimer, I don't condone Men hitting Women or Women hitting Men for that matter, and if it turns out there is more to the story then what we have heard then I will change my opinion, until then I can only go by the facts that have been presented.

Can we not hear from you guys until the week of 9/11 please?!?!?;)

phinphreak i agree with one thousand percent if a woman is attacking you then if you are smart you are not going to just stand there and say " i am a man and a good beating even if it is a woman doing it wont do me no harm" wrong thought people , that is bull crap; a person in this country has the right to defend themselves even if it is a woman. i dont like this lynch mob mentality here , so i am waiting for more facts . it is my belief if a athlete is found guilty then he should be suspended but i dont have enough evidence that he is guilty at least not yet.

I think that Randy and his wife need to go to therapy relevant to anger management and abuse of alcohol. Imagine how many times this happened without us hearing about it? Both parties get violently abusive when they are drinking and these type of episodes tend to get worse each time they occur. The team needs to impose help on McMichael and let the court system dictate the punishment. They have kids and the most important thing is to get these people away from drinking because it's apparent that they can't handle it. They both were bombed, who was going to drive home?

I wouldn't consider him a star. His play has been inconsistent at best. If he was a star he would have had an contract extension by now.

I totally agree with you on this one. There are times (a lot) that Randy can't catch a cold sitting naked in Alaska. For him to be a star, he needs to catch everything thrown at him. He does make a great catch every now and then, but he drops way too many easy ones.
Lets wait until the police report comes out and see what is done acording to the law. Why should the team jump and do something right now. Randy can help us win and lets wait and see how this plays out.

It would be interesting to see how Saban would handle this. He has done a solid job thus far. No punishment for the star or is everybody on the same level.

Sure star players get special treatment. Thats the way it is. The bottem line is winning. I used to referee pro soccer and star players get special treatment. The players know it and they accept it. It's hard for a fan to understand it, but thats the way it is.

BTW, I'am a Dolphins fan living in Colorado. I grew up in Kansas and there's a big difference in Broncos/Chiefs fans. I have more respect for the Broncos fans than I do for the Chiefs fans. Broncos fans are smarter and show a little more respect. They also back the Bronocos thru the bad times unlike the Chiefs fans.

You know, there's help for that.

We're all here for you. You've at least reached your first step of recovery by admitting your problem.
