No Punishment?!?!?!

:fire: How the h@ll can you guys vote NO PUNISHMENT?!?! First of all, this shouldn't happen even if Randy McMichael wasn't a pro football player. This is also his second offense. HE SHOULD BE FINED AND SUSPENDED! There is no room for this type of action on this any team. For those of you who voted NO PUNISHMENT, give me your reasons...good ones! Don't give me he gives us a chance to win. I realize that, but that shouldn't even come into play here. He is a man, he hit a woman, he should be punished! As you can see, I don't post a lot, but I am on this wonderful site a few times a day. I just felt like speaking out.

So, you guys that voted NO PUNISHMENT, give me your (well thought out) reasons why.

GO FINS!!! :fire:

I'd hate to have you on my jury, aren't we innocent until proven guilty in this country?

He is a man, he hit a woman, he should be punished!

Really? What if she was attacking him at the moment and going at his eyes with her inch long claws?

Sorry, I don't know what really happened there yet, and I doubt you do, but there could be legitmate reasons why he was defending himself, and I'll give him the benifit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

i dont think any action will take place untill all the facts are in, and untill the cops start and finish an investigation. i think technically hte team cant do anythign till he is found guilty by someone.

i think in legal terms, there is a big diffrence between being found "not-guilty", and being found "innocent". the prior situation may have an effect what happens in this case.

He wasn't found not guilty or innocent. The charges were dropped completely.

Sure, nothing will happen with the team until the facts are in. Why should the team do anything. As of right now, he's only being "accused".

Suck at this, you do.

Like Jar Jar binks, you sound.

You sound like Yoda lol!

Anyways the Dolphins should leave McMike alone. Offer support etc but no fines or suspensions. If it starts affecting the team and the locker room thats a different story. This is Randys job and he needs it, his wife needs Randy to be working too.

If what Randy did is proven let the courts handle it. This is his off field life and as long as it doesnt affect his on field performance leave him alone.

As much as a Die-Hard fan that I am, I still can't see why he shouldn't get some kind of punishment. If that was your sister he beat up, how would you feel??

I voted no punishment. He didn't "beat up" anybody. Many of you are over exagerrating this whole ordeal. He may need some counciling, they both may.

And as someone else already mentioned, he's a dolphin and one of my favorite players. So i'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt until there's actual evidence that he's "beating" his wife. As far as i'm concerned this woman is just a big drama queen. I've seen it all to many times.

I really dont know if i can stomach watching him on Sunday... it will ruin my whole season to see him playing.... and if it was my sister I would already be in jail myself for assault.

Because they're idiots who probably don't have a good woman of their own. I hope his "wife" has a big brother who winds up beating the sh*t out of McMichael and sending him to the hospital.

Give me a break..

sorry i dont find pleasure in watching piece of **** wife beaters on TV representing my favorite team. I have personal experience in this, with someone abusing a close friend that I had known since she was 6 and she was then 22 and it was the first and only time i've been arrested when I found her boyfriend... dont give me **** thinking i am exaggerating...

I didn't vote no punishment (I voted for a fine), but I just wanted to point out that at least one of your facts is wrong.

Charges were not dropped the first time b/c no charges were ever filed. RM was the one who called the police. The only reason he was arrested is b/c the police couldn't figure out who the primary aggressor was. They covered their own asses by dumping it into the hands of the prosecutor as they are trained to do. The prosecutor reviewed the facts and rightfully dropped the case. Therefore, this isn't a 2nd offense.

I thought he was convicted on the first offense, the one where he got into the fight at the restaurant and accidentally hit his wife with the chair after throwing it to get to the guy she was having lunch with.

I think that was the 2nd incident you were talking about above.

Just shows a pattern of violence between these two and if both want to keep it up then let em.
