I am sooo torn on this subject. Under the assumption he is guilty: I see the side of how he should only be legally punished. I also have this personal feeling that, though it is sad to say, these players are role models for many unfortunate children. That being said, I feel EVERY NFL player should be contractually obligated to be upstanding citizens. I do not know if the team currently has rules in place that demand this of the players, or if RM has it in his contract. If they do or he does, then he should be punished by the team - definite suspension, otherwise he should not be punished by the team. For the amount of money and public attention they receive, they should somehow be contractually obligated by the team to be the best role models they can be.
