no reason we should not be 3-1 going into NE

Well many thought we would easily beat Pitt with Ben out and truthfully Batch is not really that good. I would not guarantee any victory in the NFL and if this line does not play better, we will struggle all year.

True, but Buffalo was down and out last year as well and of course they gave us a hell of a fight TWICE. A loss at Buffalo next week will absolutely destroy this board and the media with pessemist about Miami.

Seems like our first must-win game of the season (yeah they all are must win, but you know what I mean).

Worse, if we do go into NE 3-1 and they 4-0, a loss puts them at 5-0 and us at 3-2, not a great way to start the first half. (I can't believe it's already time to start playing the standing what ig game already :D ).

Anyways, here's hoping these three games get Daunte and the O in sync as well as our secondary (and J. Allen) and give them some lessons that can only be learned by playing the scheme in-game.

I mean when you think about it, we couldn't possibly ask for a more suitable slate of game to tune-up with before the first of the two most important games this year. Assuming we're not upset.

no easy games in the nfl and division games are always tough and close no matter how bad a team is perceived to be

i'm not worried about this loss - saban's team seemed to respond well after getting shutout by the browns

That's an understatement, and man what a terrible feeling that was after the game. Ironically enough, the same exact team is lined up for the next game, the Bills. But please Miami, no 20pt comeback this time, a clean win will be good enough.

If the Bills get up 20 on us I bet you will be begging for a comeback

I like your enthusiasm. Unfortunately, after what I saw last night, the Dolphins aren't that good. The OL stinks, the QB is overrated, the secondary is horrible, and our defensive play calling was reminiscent of the JJ/Wannstedt era. I'm hoping the game was an abberation due to playing a real good team.

GO PHINS~!

This is going to be a long ten days to have to live with last night's game. But hey it's over we can't change anything now so let's all get ready for Buffalo and our home opener.

And there is no reason you shouldn't be 0-4 either.....

Your QB is still good for a couple picks a game, your DB's (Sabans specialty) don't have a clue what they're doing, your OL stinks, and your D is old..... Mularkey is calling the plays so that means no offense after halftime....

The Bills aren't much better, but you aren't a "contender", a "favorite" or a "sleeper" ....just overrated.

haha. You don't think we're gonna figure it out? Im sorry but the steelers D is a lot more impressive then Buffs.

And the Miami D is pathetic...so whats your point? Charlie Bathc...?...really???? He threw more TD's last night than he has in 4 years.....

And like I said...we haven't shown to be that good this year yet.... maybe we'll suck.... but there is alot less to worry about in SoFlo after thatgame.....

Batch was 2-0 when called on last year and is 1-0 so far this year..He's a more than capable backup that can play well. What exactly did Ben do in the superbowl last year? Who won that game? The rest of the Steelers were still there and Parker proved he can carry the load. At the end of the game it fell apart and we lost by more than we should have. I do know I'd rather be going into a season with Culpepper than Losman though :shakeno:

Umn, next week we're at YOUR house. Not like it'll matter. We'll win like we should have in Miami last season.

Yeah baby! Gotta love that Mike Mularkey reverse double-flea-flicker-endaround!

Batch may not be that good from a physical standpoint, but he played within the system. He mimicked Ben's performances flawlessly, and may have even played the part better than Ben does.
