I read several posts where some of you are bashing Ricky Williams for a fumble...

If I recall the game today, he had on of the best games today in both receiving and running - made some big first downs for us..

-We should be proud that Ricky could be a starter in this league and he is our backup RB - I think he is way underrated as a receiver as well (see the NE game)

Ricky is a good back. It's absolutly ridiclous for people to start these pissing matches over which back is better. And that fumble was very questionable if it was actually a fumble.

I'm still rocking all three colors of Williams jerseys. It's a shame the guy gets so much abuse after some of the clutch plays he has made for us this season.

it wasn't. the angle just was 'indisputable.' I agreed with the refs call based on the angle, cause you couldn't see it based on what they had, but it wasn't a fumble. I think they were just forced to go with the call on the field because of the leagues 'indisputable evidence' rule.

As for having Ricky as a backup, it's awesome. It's so unfair for the rest of the league. I'd say only 2-3 teams are better off at RB then us.

I understand why they did not overturn it. I dont think it was a fumble either. I will say this much about it. The evidence they had was just as conclusive as pittsburgs TD against the Ravens last week. The officiating needs to be more consistent with their calls. Either they should not of overturned that Pittsburg call or they should of overturned the fumble today, IMO.

well, that's agreed. but the refs are not doing so hot this season all around. I expect some major changes.

I hope your right about that. I really would like to see an unbias watchdog group formed that reviews these calls and noncalls each week and calls the leauge out on them. Im not a conspiracist person but I do believe in accountability. The impression the leauge gives me right now is that their first priority is not to get the right call on the field but rather to make sure you cant prove that they made the wrong call. It seems like they have a really backward attitude. I hope they fix it.

at this point Im sure they're all more afraid of making the wrong call then anything else.

But of course, that just leads to making more wrong calls, ironically.
