Thank you SD for the win, welker, helping us unload feeley, and most importantly... Hudson Houck. No sacks credited to SD today!!

Not too many penalities either

Very refreshing

I think this is a good thread to point out that the Charger line looked like crap. Miami should remember that, particularly if there are indications that Houck will only be around for the 3 years his contract is for. Hudson can raise the play on the line, but you can't do what the Chargers have done and just assume you can cheap out on OL talent just because you have Houck.

man i honestly thought Merriman was going to eat us alive today, Gus showed some great escapability and the line really stepped up from their piss poor performance last week. Good job Houck

Frerotte has to share credit for this. The Chargers got serious pressure at times today. And savvy old Gus bailed them out every time. The 14-yard draw and the 56-yard bomb to Booker were simply outstanding.

Roger that. You gotta give props to the OL this year, they are probably the most improved unit on the Dolphins this year, honestly it's really hands down.

The are the reason why we are 6-7 and the good news is if they continue to improve like this that's one area we might not have to throw alot of free agent money at, it can be spent somewhere else such as the secondary.

I must disagree. I think the most improved unit is clearly RB.

I'll refer you back up to what I said about the Charger OL. Have you heard the phrase, "garbage in, garbage out"? It's great that this OL has moved from terrible to mediocre, but the lesson here is to keep it coming. If the Chargers in their wisdom had invested more than 6th and 7th round picks on linemen during Houck's tenure and in this draft, perhaps they wouldn't have been so stifled today. It isn't enough to get the line back to 2003 shape.

Gus did an excellent job avoiding sacks today, but after hearing the San Diego media not giving us O-line much credit... 0 sacks allowed against San Diego's D is pretty damn impressive, big thanks to Frerotte though. Bell, Bowens, and Holliday a sack a piece on Brees.

No way man, it's the line, if they didn't improve first the RB's aren't going anywhere. I would agree that in talent wise the RB's have made the most improvement but in overall play the offensive line has made the most progress by far if you compare the talent levels of each area.

You sound like you think I said ignore it, I didn't.

Believe me, I know we must continue raising the talent level of the OL, but maybe not as aggresive as we all probably thought at the beginning of the season. The one player on the free agent market that I want the most is an OL - Steve Hutchinson.

I want his contract extended for the next 100 yers or untill he dies. Whichever. Whatever we pay him dosnt count against the cap so I say pay him whatever it takes.

This also had a lot to do with Frerotte's coolness in the pocket. Y'know, I see everybody on the team getting props. What about Frerotte? Give the man some freaking credit. He was on the money today.

Ya, Gus shocked me with a couple of his moves today.. Ole'!
