No scheduled talks for Crowder

good everytime i play madden he misses at least 5 tackles..
no but seriously i expect him to sign elsewhere and get pretty big money and leave shoes that are easy to fill..
He got 100 tackles because the D is set up so that he gets the chance to get 100 tackles. No big plays = no big loss

I'm glad. The guy was overrated and useless in my opinion. If the dolphins ever expect to become an NFL power house, Crowder isn't the solution. He was second rate to Zack Thomas during his waning era. I highly doubt Crowder is going to be the savior of this team. The guy needs to take the next bus to la la land.

Nana Na Na Nana Na Na.....Hey Hey Hey Goodbye!!! Nana Na Na Nana Na Na.....Hey Hey Hey Goodbye!!! Come on sing it....

Too funny, the guy has a solid season and people want to replace him . . . with who? Dansby who is going to cost twice as much? A rookie who may struggle? I mean Crowder is not the best ILB in the league . . . but he is young and solid and was the defensive playcaller as well.

To say he was "useless" and "overrated" is just plain retarded . . . how does someone who makes a million dollars a season . . . when their are guys far worse who make about 4 or 5 million . . . . overrated and useless, and he is a team leader in tackles . . . probably the leader if he isn't hurt in the KC game . . . btw, was the game where u saw this team needed his presence as KC ran over us in the first half.

I mean it is comical how some of you guys think.

I'm not one who is jumping up and down about him going elsewhere....but Crowder is not worth top LB money. Not sure about the specifics of what he's asking for, but if its more than what BP and co. think...he's as good as gone.

Our D might take a shot losing him...but let's see how FA comes along. If you look at the Pats, there were plenty of times a player played this game and the Pats let the guy walk and the D wasn't effected by it.

Personally, I dont think Dansby is in the future...will cost too much.

the guy is solid but not great i would draft someone at #25 who can be better then Crowder, Crowder lacks instincts

Hey I understand the specifics of the cap and how we must run a team . . . and obviously if the guy wants to much then we have to part ways, that is part of the game, the NFL is a business first to the players and teams . . . its a game to us first.

That being said, to hear people say Crowder wasn't an important part of this defense is comical. Crowder has done nothing but produce since we drafted him and people think he can just be easily replaced for a bargain.

Why use a pick on an unproven rookie when u can use that pick on another position and pay Crowder a contract that he deserves.

Another thread claimed that him and Bell were offered similar contracts, I think that is fair and understandbly Crowder may want a little more, and maybe we will bend, but if he is out of our price range, then we have to let him go. That still doesn't take away from what he means to this team . . . if he was as worthless as some feel he is, he wouldn't have gotten any contract offer, obviously he means something to this team.

So who do you suggest we take at 25 to replace Crowder?

Cushing, hell maybe his instincts are better . . . that is debatable, but what if he can't stay healthy in the NFL? I actually like Brian, he would be great OPPOSITE of Crowder.

Lauranitis . . . the guys can't shed a block to save his life, but his instincts are good . . . he isn't made for a 3-4 defense.

Rey Rey . . . probably lacks the instincts of Crowder but is very physical and a playmaker. I wouldn't mind him, but it would go against the instincts theory that you have, which is why he wouldn't be a good fit in the 4-3 as a MLB. Much better in the 3-4.

Brinkley, Mckillop? Those guys can't cover to save their lives, they are good against the run.

Beckwith . . . I actually like him, but he may be a bit on the small side for the 3-4.

Obviously Aaron Curry, but he is a top 5 pick, so we won't get him.

So u see, it is easier said than done. And who is to say that Dansby and Bart Scott, both who probably will cost much more than Channing . . . will honestly be that much of an upgrade.

If Channing wants to break the bank, he can do it elsewhere, but I for one hope we resign this kid, he isn't a problem on this team.

People on this board sometimes tend to have this "bargain" mentality and don't play with NFL money.

I mean when I hear OMG, cameron Wake signed a 5 year deal worth 5 million . . . and I hear people say . . . "he didn't get signed to be a backup with that contract" I mean are u kidding? We gave starks like 5 million a year and he is currently a backup. Torbor got like 3 million to be a backup. I mean 4 to 5 million for Channing is a very good deal IMO, but people think he shoudl sign for a million a year or something . . . I mean that just isn't reasonable.

If Channing wants to test the market so be it. I like Channing, but it's not worth keeping him around at a price that's he's NOT worth.

Great let him test the market. I will not be disappointed to lose him. He is not anything special anyway, so give him a shot another place.

Should Crowder against my expectations desire to stay in Miami then he would be more than welcome to stay.

I feel both ways for him.

I'd like to keep him, but the nature of FA dictates another team will probably sign him for a big dollar contract. I would not be surprised if it's the Pats. They desperately need to get younger at LB, and this might be the guy they pay for. We shall see.
