I'm sure we are not near the record. But I have looked everywhere and can not find what the record for not allowing a td consecutive games is. Also please let me know where you found the info. Thanks.

We got a long ways to go:

6 Buffalo, 1920-21 (won 5, tied 1)
Frankford, 1926 (won 6)
Detroit, 1926 (won 4, tied 2)

14 quarters 1990 NY giants I believe

I think the question was for no TD's not complete shutouts.

The Dolphins have not allowed a TD in 11 quarters. The Broncos have matched that streak twice. In 2003 the Patriots did not allow a TD in 19 quarters. I can't find anything longer than that.

this is inaccurate, Patriots never went 3 games in a row in 2003

The Dolphins streak is at 12 quarters.

The 2000 Steelers went 5 games in a row with out giving up a TD including 1 game they LOST 9-6.

This is the first time the Dolphins have had a streak this long since 1973.

OK then....13 games X 4 quarters....that's 52 quarters without giving up a TD by the Akron Pros in 1920. How's that???? :D

You're right. In my haste I didn't read the entire sentence and just skimmed over the article, "it ended the Patriots' streak of 62 opponent possessions and 19 quarters at Gillette without allowing a touchdown".

I didn't notice "at Gillette" ...

However, I am correct about the 11 quarters: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/blogs/...ns/entries/2008/12/14/dolphins49ers_blog.html

"The Dolphins defense has gone 11 quarters without allowing a touchdown"

lol it happens, I was thinking the Ravens personally in 2000 . . . but when they weren't I checked Pittsburgh for the hell of it and there it was. Got it from an ESPN article that stated that we were the first team in the NFL to do it this long since 2000 and our best streak since 73.

I understand what you wrote, however, he is only asking about TD's, not complete shut-outs. There is a difference.

Yeah I know. I think these records were also really old records, and most of the times when they talk about records they don't really count games before about 1940.

Am I missing something here? The Dolphins haven't given up a touchdown since the 4th quarter of the Patriots game. That means it's been 12 full quarters, not 11.
