I know, there will be a few additions and sutractions, considering we're close to 13 mil under the cap, but I think we're going to keep much of the 2008 team in place

I think Moses is gone to make room for Clemmons and Hartline takes Londons place.

I would like to trade of of the 3 Nt's for a backup T.

I don't think Bond will actually beat Fields.

I doubt Kershaw makes the team. Thats a lot of ILB.

QB- Pennington, White(no.2 gameday), Henne
RB- Brown, Williams, Cobbs
FB- Polite
WR- Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, Turner, Hartline
TE- Fasano, Martin, Nalbone
LT- Long, Gardner
LG- Smiley, S. Murphy
C- Grove, Berger
RG- Thomas, Frye
RT- Carey, Garner
DE- Langford, Merling, Starks, McDaniel
NT-Ferguson, Soliai
SOLB- Taylor, Roth, Walden
WOLB- Porter, Anderson, Wake
ILB-Crowder, Ayodele, Torbor
RCB- Smith, JAllen, Jones
LCB- W. Allen, Davis, Green
FS- Wilson, Clemons
SS- Bell, Culver
K- Carpenter
P- Fields
LS- Denny

Practice Squad- Haynos, Dotson, O. Martin, JD Folsom, Armstrong, Kershaw, Bryan, Cohen

Think you need 1 more ILB, 3 wont cut it for a whole season I don't think.

I wasnt impressed with Fields either, but all reports say this guy only nails 1 of 4 kicks....I'll take Fields over that!

Lionel Dotson makes this team for sure...It's a big risk to go with only Ferguson and Soliai as NT. We don't know how much Ferguson has left and Soliai is a question mark. Look at what happened to K. Jenkins of the Jets. He was a beast at the beginning and faded at the end.
As a matter of fact, even Louis Ellis might make the team.

I was working on this for my next column if I ever get some time off from work to write it, but mine looks like this as of today:

QB - Pennington, Henne, White
RB - Brown, Williams, Cobbs
FB - Polite
WR - Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, Turner, Hartline
TE - Fasano, Haynos, Nalbone
T - Long, Carey, Gardner,
G - Smiley, Thomas, Frye, Murphy
C - Grove, Berger

DE - Langford, Merling, Starks, Dotson, McDaniel
NT - Ferguson, Soliai, Ellis
OLB - Porter, Roth, Taylor, Anderson, Wake, Walden
ILB - Crowder, Ayodele, Torbor
CB - W. Allen, Green, Davis, Smith, Jones
FS - Wilson, Clemons
SS - Bell, Culver

K - Carpenter
P - Fields
LS - Denney

If I knew that David Martin and Andy Alleman would be 100% healthy by training camp, I'd probably put them on the roster over Joey Haynos and Shawn Murphy respectively, but until something is said I'll put them on hold.

Brandon London I had a hard time cutting - maybe he makes it if Camarillo doesn't look to be making a full recovery come late July, but Hartline was hand-picked and should provide just as good of special teams value as London did.

As I said, I'll have a full-length column with some of the key battles later on so be on the lookout - I know it's been a while sine I've gotten one up.

I just can't see carrying 3 NT's when only one can play at a time and only 3 ILB when 2 of them play at a time. Seems too risky to me.
