Dolphins | Decision on T. Glenn put on hold
Wed, 6 Aug 2008 17:30:31 -0700

Barry Jackson, of the Miami Herald, reports a decision on whether to sign free-agent WR Terry Glenn (Cowboys) has been put on hold while the Miami Dolphins and Glenn consider their options. The delay gives Glenn more time to get into better condition, and it gives the Dolphins more time to evaluate their current receivers. Glenn has not been brought in for a workout and the team does not have one scheduled.

Dolphins | Henne impressing teammates
Wed, 6 Aug 2008 17:30:08 -0700

Barry Jackson, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Henne has surprised some veteran defensive players with how much he has injected himself into the starting quarterback race. DE Vonnie Holliday said, "I like the way the guy carries himself. He's not intimidated." S Yeremiah Bell said Henne has exceeded expectations. Bell added, "He has a chance to win this job. You can't overlook that he's very impressive."

Holliday and Ferguson are our veteran lineman....we cannot afford to lose either of these guys.

unfortunate that Vonnie is hurt, but it doesnt sound too serious and its not like HE needs to play in preseason.

In fact, this is good news for guys like Langford and Merling. Let the young guys play, show what they got.

A "tweak" don't sound that bad IMO.

A tweak basically means a strain. Most strains take a few weeks to fully recover.

Hopefully just a tweak. If he goes down hurt I'd have to start doubting all the talk we heard about the strength and conditioning program making our guys abnormally healthy.

Hopefully with rest and treatment, a few weeks off will give Merling, Langford and Dotson a chance to shine.

That's the only good side to Holliday sitting out. I really like Langford, but i haven't heard a peep out of Dotson. I wonder if he's headed for the PS?

I really am not sure if a guy like that would be on the practice squad. We're going to have about 8 Dlineman on the active roster so I can't seem them putting another guy on the PS

Hamstring man...I hope he does the right thing and doesn't try and rush back because sometimes those little hamstring problems can aggravate you all year long...sometimes they never go back to normal without a lot of rest...they can be re-aggravated easily...

I find it funny how Vonnie Holliday tweaks his hamstring for the first time in his career after doing consistent repetitions at OLB in the 3-4. Sounds like Vonnie Hollidays' legs are transforming into an OLB's build. He's been stacking the line the last 4 years and tweaks his hamtring for the first time after doing reps in space... LOL.
